Hades doesn't do anything super new, but it refines the beats of its genre to perfection with an amount of care and polish that I haven't seen in a game in years. Mechanically it shines, and artistically even more so. The wonderful cast of characters is fully voice-acted, and they each have a way of luring you into the game's world and story more and more with each new run-through. This game is true genius.
