I've played a good handful of fighting games and Street Fighter 6 was the first one that I've been really excited for in a while. If you haven't played fighting games before, please give this one a try. It really gives you your money's worth since the single player experience is solid and the game itself teaches you the basics very effectively. The training mode, character tutorials, and combo trials are all excellent in quality and teach you a lot. Not to mention, the new modern control scheme may help some new players grasp the mechanics of the game better and still stay fairly competitive with classic players. But not only does the game introduce its mechanics efficiently, the mechanics themselves have incredible depth and make the game play super addictive. New mechanics such as drive impact and drive rush seem fairly simple on a surface level, but have a surprising amount of uses that you wouldn't expect as you play more and more. Overall, this is a complete package of a fighting game, and I cannot wait to play it more for years to come.

Overall the game was fantastic, in short, a 9/10. But to break it down more, I'm going to compare it to the original Resident Evil 4 with the fan-made HD Mod. Here's a Youtube video that really explains how crazy cool that mod makes the original version of the game: https://youtu.be/oFpHvScLi2c

Strong Points:
+Looks gorgeous, can't state how much CAPCOM has progressed with the RE Engine
+The Parry is a great addition, it feels satisfying to use and the fact that the knife is limited in durability means that it isn't overpowered.
+The new requests they added throughout the game are nice, primarily because the reward for doing them is spinels.
+The merchant is improved, the U.I is better and the new trading system is crazy cool. In the original you could only sell the spinels you found across the map. Now in the remake, spinels that are earned/found can be traded for cool rewards like the "Matilda" gun, the red9 stock, vouchers for exclusive upgrades, scopes, and treasures.
+Some characters get more screen time compared to the original (i.e Saddler and Luis). This let's them show off their "character" more and let's us enjoy them much more.
+Some Char redesigns look fantastic, mainly the ones to note are Ashley, Saddler, and Luis. The other redesigns are fine and I'm fairly neutral on like Ada or Krauser.

Some shortcomings:
-A lot of original voice lines were removed or altered to make the game more "serious". An example of this is the removal of Leon saying "No thanks, bro". This is a con because a lot of these lines were not only iconic and satire on action/horror, but essential to providing contrast to the game's horror. The original RE4 worked for horror because you had brief moments of humor to make sure that when the horror comes back it hits just as hard. Compared to the REmake where the horror aspect stepped on the gas more. Not to mention, some of the removed lines were very nice for characterization. The designers know this, because they improved Luis' design to make him look more creepy and shady.
-Some areas of the game that were pretty enjoyable were cut, primarily some ruins and some end game sections. Half of the cut areas were definitely fine to cut as they felt a little bit like padding, however some of the mid game areas were a little sad to see go.
-The Trimming of some areas doesn't help the pace at all, a couple bosses show up surprisingly early, and it's because of the cutting of some areas.
-The treasure system was very simplified and In my opinion a little worse. The original had original treasures that you could combine like for example an antique liquor holder with it's proper accessories. In the remake, all combinable treasures can only be combined with Gems and they are sometimes a little too clear on what you can combine. It's kinda just "oh okay I'll put this into this". What irks me even more is that they already had the perfect improvement of the original system from RE4 in RE8 as combinable treasures were listed as combinable but you were not told what could fit into it, you had to find ♥♥♥♥ and figure it out. Also they were original treasures like a statue missing a piece. Not just jewelry with missing gem slots.

An extra note:
+/- The shooting is interesting, guns now take time to center in order to get an accurate shot (mainly pistols). But you can move and shoot unlike the original. Ganados typically take more than one headshot to now stagger so the shooting mechanics in mind are balanced. But it's neither a pro or con because it will definitely be a preference because in the Original you have to stand still to shoot, but all your shots are 100% accurate and Ganados will stagger with a shot to the head no matter what.

Summary:
The strongest aspect of the REmake is the moment to moment gameplay, it is without a doubt the most fun I've had shooting at anything in a Resident Evil game. Personally, I would highly recommend that anyone who hasn't played the original play that first, as this remake will make you appreciate the improvements and changes that they made. The game is very aware that many people have played the original, so it toys with your expectations a little, rearranging things just enough so that it will throw you off but still keep the game's original identity. Please play this when you get the chance.

I'm happy to report that God of War 4 years later still holds up as a masterpiece of a game. Now that it is on PC, there is not only a huge new audience that can play it, but also a new breath of life into the game thanks to mods. God of War demonstrates how an action game can not only be engaging for it's gameplay but also its story. This game contains some of the most gripping cutscenes I have had the pleasure of watching on top of an extremely sound core combat system. Killing enemies feels incredibly satisfying and using all of Kratos' combos only serves to enhance that feeling. The game isn't perfect however, as the enemy variety is a bit lacking and trying to acquire endgame materials for armor and upgrades can be pretty frustrating at times (looking at you niflheim). But in the grand scheme of the game's runtime, these are very minor problems. This is more than a game, this is an experience that you won't regret.

At the time of this review, the game is currently on season 9 or LEGACY.

In my humble opinion, this one of the greatest FPS battle royales I have had the pleasure of enjoying. I used to believe that battle royales were fundamentally flawed since they were so reliant on rng and wasted so much time. However, Apex Legends pleasantly surprised me with it's extremely polished gameplay. First off, the game removes many annoyances from most other battle royales, there are characters with abilities that can help you escape or engage in combat much more easily and alleviate that frustration of dropping onto awful guns or no guns at all. Furthermore, there is a respawn feature which not many BR games have, thus avoiding the annoyance of having to wait for 20 minutes while your squadmate attempts to win. Something else that is worthy of note is the refined gunplay, most weapons feel like they have a purpose to them and are viable in some way. Even LMGs which are usually awful in other games, are pretty solid in this one. If you're a fan of Titanfall, you'll recognize most of the weapons in Apex and while it is a shame that these were not used in Titanfall 3, they are very fun to use here.
ARENAS:
The new mode introduced this season is pretty great, it completely removes everything random from battle royales and is purely skill based. A 3v3 small arena mode is pretty close to what this game needed for a while to prevent the game from becoming stale. However, I have one problem with this mode and that is that there is no overall objective to aim for to win rounds aside from completely eliminating the enemy team. I feel as if there should be another way to win rounds simply because, as the game goes on, matches will turn into very slow pokefests until the ring becomes too small. Having an objective would force players to engage more often and keep the pace of the match fresh. Overall though, ARENAS are a welcome addition to Apex Legends.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game, and I hope that for many more years to come, it stays alive and well.

P.S: Can I get more Titanfall related content like Valkyrie Respawn? Thanks!

Skullgirls is easily one of the most charming fighting games I have had the pleasure of experiencing before. Not only, is the hand-animated aesthetic some of the most pleasing I have ever seen, but the gameplay is extremely tight and clean. To elaborate, the game provides not only a surplus of options when it comes to a variety of situations, but it also helps new players learn these options with its excellent tutorial. A large majority of fighting games give you the most basic of tips that 90% of people could figure out on their own and never the stuff that would help you out in an ACTUAL match. Skullgirls does not do this and instead goes over in detail all of your defensive options and a good amount of combo routes for each character, making it easier to learn than a large majority of fighting games. Additionally, a large majority of the inputs are really simple, allowing for players to focus on the fight rather than not choking on a combo thanks to the pacing of each match being blisteringly fast. Truth be told, there is no other game like Skullgirls on the market, I implore you to please pick this up as it is not only a fantastic game, but it is also bang for your buck as the price is borderline robbery for the quality you are getting. Please pick this game up.

Please PLEASE play this game!

It is very likely one of if not the BEST shooters I have ever played period. The movement is fine tuned, the gun play is largely balanced and satisfying, and running around in a titan gives a dopamine rush I have not felt in a good while.

The game is so good, losing is still fun, that's how good it is.

Even if it isn't on sale, the price is criminally low for the quality that you're getting.

Okay, let's get this out of the way first, the game at one point was indeed a cash grab and frankly, a dumpster fire.

But, the developers have dedicated update after update to salvage this game. Not only has the whole progression system been reworked to be fair and not pay to win, the developers have also given us a heaping load of content enough to fill a Sarlacc pit for a few decades.

In the current state of the game, there is a surplus of game modes, characters, maps, and many things that most players could want. The combat is satisfying, the core game play loop is enjoyable, everything culminates into an experience that simply screams STARWARS down to its very core.

Obviously, there are a few things that are bothersome, such as the bugs and down right disappointing missed opportunities with content updates such as a Clone Wars or Mandolorian Season. However, the current quality of the game could be summed up to pretty damn good. It can certainly be better, but it's doing pretty damn well right now.
