My most played Steam game, EVER! Not just a shooter.
I love this game, it's so much fun to play. A great rogue like where your skill can carry you. Satisfying and versatile core gameplay. The design of this game is amazing, but some of the implementation is lacking. It's early access right now, and I have high hopes for 1.0

If you like action games and rogue likes, there's no substitute for this one!

Risk of Rain 2 is the best 3D roguelike game there is. Every aspect of this game works so perfectly together at the most basic level. Hopoo Games truly understands game design. The value in this game, to someone who likes rogues, is immeasurable.

This game as matured greatly since early access, now, post Anniversary Update, it stands as an achievement for early access. I cannot wait for the first paid DLC in Q1 2022.

"You've played an additional 2486 hours"

Two DLCs later, this is still a super fun game to play. The Seekers of the Storm update is really not as bad as it was made to seem. There's so many mods to fix or change the gameplay at this point, this game is really what you make it. There's no subsitute for RoR2 STILL. If you're on the fence about this game, BUY IT!!!!

TL:DR - ROR2 is the best 3D roguelike.. Go ahead and try to think of a few. Do NOT sleep on this game if you like rogue-likes-lites whatsoever.
