Garbage can of a launch. You're purchasing a Pre-Alpha at absolute best. The game dropped 10 days ago with numerous game breaking bugs reminiscent of a Bethesda launch, and such poor optimization that it would have been done better by a 1 handed baboon. The game has potential sure, but what's potential if the developers aren't making steps to reach it.

When you fork up 35 dollars, or hell even more, just be aware that every time you leave base camp, there is a 50/50 chance the server or your game will crash and you will lose all equipment you brought or found, and also a chance your tasks will be reset. The AI has a random chance to either be the Terminator and put 2 rounds into your eye socket from 200 yards, or can't hit you with a full mag of an AK from 10 feet. Oh, and another quick tangent, the faction select does literally nothing other than to create hostile players, the starting towns and base camp are identical, as well as tasks, traders, markets, etc. Everything is the exact same.

It is explicitly obvious that this game was rushed out onto "Early Access" to capitalize on Escape from Tarkov's massive blunder to release a well pined-for PVE feature behind a $200 paywall.

To be fair, the game is interesting, unique, and I like the concept. The PVP is actually quite balanced and it isn't exactly hard to figure out how to play. The helicopter system is unique and cool, but needs work, and you always have a chance to go back and get your stuff if you die, contrary to just about every single other extraction shooter available.

To be perfectly clear, the idea, style, and some parts of the game are really good, the god awful execution and rushed-in-to-market feel, is what is truly holding it back. 2-3 months, sure it *might* be worth $35, but right now I wouldn't pay more than 5 bucks for this game.

Update 5/21/2025: I randomly checked the game's page recently to see the progression and all I gotta say is, what the hell? Two about to be 3 major updates in one year? The sin of sloth is frothing at the mouth at the example this development team has made. 4 separate editions that only escalate in price just to hand over night time and water falling from the sky in one year of development. The road map on the official website looks like an April Fool's joke they forgot to scrub. "Hey guys we know you all are just absolutely clamoring for some new content, like weapons, gear, attachment, or new features, however, with great excitement, I am pleased to announce you will receive 2 major updates, with one focusing on rain and weather, and the second will be 'lore'. Thank you for continuing to support our slop!!" I can guarantee that the 'lore' will be sparsely placed notebook paper (if you're lucky) or random dialogue you can hear from the NPC's.
