Deleted Scenes may be janky at times and you may be cursing at why some enemies take a ridiculously long time to kill while other times they die instantly...but it's the closest thing we'll ever get to a proper single player CS mode with a story. It's quite fun overall! Do note that there are some standalone missions that you do not get to play if you just start from the first level, so after you go through the whole campaign, be sure to go to the world map and play them.

Speaking as a weeb, the missions in Japan have hilarious dialogue and props. But the most fun is probably the Secret War mission (3 factions fighting against each other!) or the first mission (everyone loves Black Hawk Down-esque games right?)

This was the game that started my love for CS! It helped me get confidence playing against easy then later on expert bots as a kid. Even now, it's still a blast to go through the missions- there are plenty of custom missions you can find online too.

Quick tips:
-Maverick is easily the best cost 3 operator, get him ASAP
-Killing an enemy with HE grenade and surviving the round? If you fail, just hit surrender and restart- the bots often go the exact same way in the first round, so its easier to retry. This was hell for me
-Need to rescue all hostages? If you get all the hostages to follow you and then you kill all the terrorists, it will still count- no need to go to the rescue zone!
-Smoke grenades and flashbangs are your best friend. Especially smokes, since you are invisible to bots if you stand inside them... ;)

It may look dated but in 2022, it's still great value and a ton of fun :)

I lived for awhile in Japan, and thanks to Google Earth VR, I was able to feel like I was walking the streets of Tokyo again. Really cool experience!

SteamVR is without a doubt the best VR game I've played :^)

I found SC2VN to be a rather enjoyable albeit short novel to play. This is coming from a person with minimal Starcraft experience :)

I really enjoyed the depiction of what it is like to move to a completely different country, all alone, trying to achieve something that you believe in. Maybe I should take some of it to heart, seeing as I'm going to study abroad as soon as I graduate!

(One thing though: WHERE'S THE JETT ROUTE!? CMON NOW ;_;)

to be honest, i miss how early alphas like 5 ran smooth on my computer. it takes an awful long time to load into maps/servers, and can sometimes get extremely laggy now. i also prefer old controls and simplicity- i wish they would put an option to switch to old controls or building styles.

when it does load, it's a fantastic game, with tons of ways to go zombie-huntin and killin'.

or maybe you just want to build elaborate structures, and then blow them up right after. that works too :D

this is a buy for me!

This software is pretty decent, if you want to scrap some quick comics to show to friends for fun. Otherwise, the limited poses, clothing, and eye/hairstyles makes this not suitable for serious comic making (besides, I'd assume you'd command decent artistic skills if you wanted to make a serious comic anyways).

This is a purchase you should make if it is on sale, and if you know you're gonna make lots of comics...for fun. :)

All the units look the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ same...and there's not much variety in the units. Plus, take any ranged unit and chances are they'll use 90% of their ammo killing your OWN units rather than the enemy. The game seems to play a lot faster than say, Rome II; units die a lot faster. Oh, and did I mention that you should avoid some of the faction DLC's, as they just add some reskinned units?

Nevertheless, interesting new mechanics in the campaign (i.e, horde mechanics with the Huns) is a plus, along with the upcoming Charlemagne DLC. With the additional Hun faction and the Alan roster revamp, this is probably worth giving a shot.

In conclusion, I'd buy this game on sale. Not a full price purchase.

EDIT: Holy crap I regret starting the fabled Western Roman Empire Legendary campaign... ;_;

Covers an extremely interesting time period and setting- but the unit variety is somewhat lacking. I wish they made the clans more distinct from each other, but I suppose the simplicity of Shogun 2 is why many people say it is the best Total War game. Either way, you'll still enjoy this. I recommend Fall of the Samurai as well.

It's a great game, coming from mostly Medieval 2. Rome and Macedon are personally my favourite factions to play. While the DLC is ridiculous, the game is in a playable and fun state.

I would snag the Greek States DLC, and the blood DLC on sale.

Unlike Attilla or Shogun 2, this game features quite a large variety of units, which is quite fun ^^
Not to mention, CA tried to make some pretty cool historical battles, like Teutoburg Forest.
