Really just checks all the boxes for a really chill simulator in a theme tailored made for the nerdy, gaming community. With so many ways the game could continue to evolve and an active developer worth every penny.

13.5 hours in pretty rad some repetition but the battle animations for the heroes are so good you don't mind watching them every time.

Way more depth then I expected from an early access game. Super fun the concept is awesome really everything about this game is great. I am hoping for some future UI updates and additional beaver clans in the future hopefully!

I have put 100 hours into Monster Train in the last week. All I have been playing is deckbuilder rouge like games. This game builds off of what Slay The Spire did right and takes it too the next level. The three levels of battle require a lot of planning. A bunch of clans make for tons of combos and strats and that's without getting into the multiplayer innovations with run sharing, challenge creation etc. Honestly for the price if your a fan of Slay the Spire, Deep Sky Derelicts, Blood Card or the like you'll dig this game and its well worth the money. Excited too see the expansion and clans too come.
