If you haven't played this, what are you doing?

This is no longer an acceptable game for solo queuing. Everyone is in their discord calls chasing anything that moves together. The matchmaking has only gotten worse with each iteration because there's no consideration for solo queue players. The game is good in every other aspect which is why I've been playing for so long, I just don't agree with the direction the gameplay has been heading toward recently.

I used to see Apex as this really flexible and dynamic multiplayer FPS game that I could play by myself whenever I wanted, it slowly devolved into scheduling for specific times of day and map rotations when I wouldn't be matched into lobbies of mostly pre-made squads; now in its current state it's blatant and unavoidable.

As of season 16, the current selection of maps further exacerbate the effects of pre-made squads against solo queue players with long corridors, tall zipline shafts that only lead to a single floor, simpler building structures.

I guess I'll be spending more time sleeping between major updates of Apex and releases of highly anticipated singleplayer games.

I love this game! The soundtrack is therapeutic, story is engaging, and the characters make me happy. I'd give anything to play more stories old and new on a more recent engine.
