By far the best content available for TSW.
Worth every cent and puts all other locos to shame.

This is nothing more than some store bought assets plonked onto some random terrain generation.

One of the best detailed UK routes to date love it.

Overall TSW4 is for me at least a sign of life from DTG that there is real passion to add some additional game-play and immersion/simulation updates i can only hope that this is a trend that continues and there focus on core immersion/simulation improvements is a trend they continue for TSW4 and future iterations.. To be frank if it was not for the suspension(not released yet.........) and free roam in timetable additions i would have skipped this release.

With that out of the way what does it still do wrong.

- Lighting - overall the TOD4 system is an improvement however eye adaptation still requires tuning.
- Lighting - The loco Cabs still do not occlude area/global light sources meaning there constantly over exposed.
- Weather - no real time weather options and the dynamic function is anything but with a constant 99% chance that it will rain.. for me its 100% never once have i had a run where it does not go from clear sky to thunderstorms... stupid
- Sounds - still a mixed bag and still no train announcements from PIS or CIS

What it does well:

- suspension physics update, while only playable in training centre on one unit right now this improvement is long overdue and will go along way to improve immersion and i for one am looking forward to its further roll-out ... assuming it makes it into TSW4....
- Free-roam in timetable mode is worth the price of TSW4 on its own, it really is a blast to be able to just spawn what you want drive it where you want and still have AI traffic rolling around the lines this feature is undersold big time and is one of the best and biggest gameplay additions DTG have given the franchise since introducing service mode with the original release.
- using LIDAR data in routes is a massive leap forward and i hope in time they use more accurate data and also use it for more than just distant scenery, Its a solid step in the right direction and lifts the production value and immersion of the routes.
- new minihud is another step in the right direction, with some tweaks such as a distance to objective option it would be perfection.

Its well known that this game has its share of issues in terms of stability and general performance, however Darktide is an utter love letter to 40k.
The attention to detail, art direction, sound design... overall this game just oozes atmosphere.
Moment to moment game-play is fantastic and the maps are just utter perfection, its hands down a brilliant game and the best 40K game to come out since Dawn Of War don't be put off by the initial issues Darktide is an epic experiences worthy of your time.

Also best Bolter ever featured in a Warhammer game.

BF2042 = A$ 89.95 - Trying to be every game other than what BF was. Hot garbage.
Halo Infinite = A$0.00 - Knows exactly what it is, a Halo game and delivers. Perfection.

Lets get right to it, no the translation is not complete but if your willing to put in a bit of effort getting to grips with this little sim is well worth the effort.

Its fun rewarding to drive and runs well. Yes its not got complicated physics at this point and there is no hand holding, but there is some charm here and some real promise been shown with just how well the game runs and functions already that i am keen to see what the future of this sim is.

As side dig to anyone reading this from TSW2 .. this game already has better day/night lighting and has headlights that work correctly... amazing

Some quick tips for any English speakers, if you get an Amber signal your speed limit at that signal is 45, make sure your at 45 or slowing down with at least notch 4 of brakes as you pass the signal and you wont have any issues.
There is also a tricky little neutral section both as you leave or enter the underground, the start of this section is indicated with a sign with a / symbol, once you pass this simply press insert then home key you will notice in the cab the DC and AC light switch your MCB will re light once you pass the next signal board with the symbol 'O' you can hit home again and your now on AC power or vice versa.
Lastly when nearing a station you will get a red light indicator show up on the dash make sure you apply at least 1 notch of brakes within 3 seconds and you should avoid any issues with tripping safety systems.

Signaling is broken do not buy.
All 500hz magnets are 1000hz utter ♥♥♥♥ show.

brilliant addition, looks great, sounds great top marks for this one. Only downside, its not used on more routes and services.
A worthy adding to the collection and helps build up the modern stock for UK routes.
