Wow! What a game! Thrusting you right into the action, Transistor begins with Red and her companion the Transistor; a hybrid magical and technological omnipotent sword. With the Transistor by your side and acting as the narrator, you make your may through CloudBank, a futuristic utopia where everyone has a voice, whether that be what the weather will be, to what food your favorite restaurant will serve that day. But underneath it all something is brewing, and it is up to you to unstir the great storyline that this game has to offer.

The game contains very engaging combat that can either be done on the fly, or via a tactical planning phase where the user is allowed a certain amount of actions per turn. Each mode has their own strengths and weaknesses, but while the planning mode may leave you vulerable for a few seconds after you have had your turn to act, it definitely seems to be better in almost all cases over the on the fly version.

Although the combat in this game is great, Supergiant Games once again proves that they are king when it comes to art direction. The music in the game is a masterpiece, constantly setting the mood of the game as you progress throughout the many streets of CloudBank. This combined with the stellar hand drawn backgrounds and beautiful 2.5D art style makes it pure audio and visual bliss.

Though some may disagree that Supergiant Games have not created a game as good as Bastion, I wholeheartedly disagree. Transistor is something different. Something that cannot be compared to Bastion, and something special that must be experienced by everyone. Get this game, you will NOT regret it.

Oh. My. God. This game. There are not enough words to describe in such a MAGNIFICENT game in such a short recommendation. First and foremost, one of the most beatiful, most emotional, and active story lines EVER in a game. I would recommend it just based on that. But no! It gets better. The combat is INNOVATIVE, FUN, and does NOT get boring. Although unlike the original bioshocks, you can only carry 2 weapons at once. The vigors (plasmids) are fun, but I usually only stuck to one or two myself. Finally, the characters. My god. The characters. So engaging, so entertaining, and they make you feel so connected to them. One of the best games of 2013, one of the best games ever. Do NOT, I repeat, no NOT be the one to miss out on this game, this experience!

A great, humorous platformer that is on par with Super Meat Boy difficulty if not harder. Perfection is a must, but feels so good when accomplished. Not to mention it has an excellent replay system to watch those that have beaten the levels for additional help. A good platformer and worth the pickup.

I have never played the other Red Faction games, but this one is great none the less. With a very engaging story line, combined with a great physiscs engine and graphics, this game is just gorgeous. Some of the guns in this game are SO AWESOME and will just blow your mind! I don't want to spoil anything, but just make sure to collect the required parts to unlock them! As stated before, the story line is good with an interesting twist, but it suffers from Borderlands sydrome where the game progresses slowly at first, and accelerates very quickly at the end, having the player move from zone to zone very quickly. Other than that though, this game is a great pickup for anyone that likes sci-fi or third person shooters!

Another great addition to the Saint's Row franchise! More silly and over the top than the previous games in the series, but by far the most fun. With SR2 driving broken, SR3 has fixed it and driving through the massive city has never been more fun. There is a lot of DLC in this game, and some are greater than others. If you want to know more about the DLC, send me a message and I can explain it better and hopefully save you some money. Other than that, this game is crazy fun and a great buy!

A great addition to the Total War franchise. I've played almost all the total war games, and this one comes close if not beats Rome Total War. The combat is simple, spear > cavalry, katana > spear, bow >weak armored units, etc. The campaign map is simple, clean, and engaging. The land combat moves smoothly, and looks great, but the naval combat can get slow sometimes. The simplified tech tree and upgrades allow for players to choose their own path to victory, Will you side with the foreigerns and gain access to gunpowder at the cost of losing traditional values and allies, or will you follow your ancestors and gain legendary heroes to help your cause? The AI has been updated and the harder difficulties truly test your skills as a Shogun. The Fall of the Samurai is also a great addition, bringing it similar to Empire Total War in terms of combat. However, it is in my opinion much more engaging and fun than Empire with the new advance in technology. A great buy and not be overlooked!

This game is possibly one of the best indie games I have ever played. I bought it for 5$ on a sale, but it is defiinitly worth the 15$ price tag when not on sale. The music is just amazing! I just had to get the soundtrack after I played the game! As well the that, they chose possbly a narrator whose skill almost matches that of Morgan Freeman as well as the fact the game has great looks! This 2.5D game makes great use of saturation and colors to provide a very satisfying feel and is pure eye candy. The combat in the game is fast, and fun, but does get somewhat dry after awhile in the game, but with all the weapon types, it's fun to play around with the combinations to get the best combo of death dispensing! Other than that, this game was a blast to play thorugh and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a game with a great GREAT story!
