Possibly one the laziest ports I have ever seen in my life!

No options for resolution, fps or anything! The inability to rebind the keyboard, the mouse being unsupported and the fact konami doesn't even address the controls in-game or dialogue correctly.

Controls feel slightly delayed and I can experience lag on a 3090 strix oc for a ps1 game which runs better emulated on my phone.

No option for borderless window and alt tabbing out of the game will just go into windowed mode while full screen and I have also experienced this unpausing my game?!
even the "brightness" setting just tells you to adjust your monitor.

Having to pay extra for the American & Japanese audio is crazy to me that in 2023 they would paywall users accessibility at this point I'm surprised they don't have the subtitles as dlc.

You would think considering these are re-released and there are much cheaper and better ports that include options for widescreen support, upscaling etc.
they would add some of these features even a faster way to reset being under the pause menu or texture fixes.

The presentation of the menus and extras such as the screenplay are the only positive things I can say about a game that has remained in my top 5 games since childhood.

This is a crazy cash grab and while I don't have hope that any of these issues will be sorted I would only recommend purchase if you're a casual fan or you have never played these.

or the die hard fan I would look at alternate ways to play this classic.

Overall I can't recommend this at all the passion Kojima put into this many years ago seems to have been sucked out creating a tedious experience and I feel he would be ashamed of what has become of this.

The battle hub and avatar battles are a very welcome addition to the series it's entertaining to see everyone's creations and be able to battle, spectate & interact with different players all from one area and world tour is incredible what feels like street fighters take on the yakuza series was a breathe of fresh air and I can only hope its expanded on in the future.
