Having a game present me a mystery of an old unsolved case about a child being kidnapped and having me solve it using what was essentially a giant twitter timeline of #'s and trying to figure out which person said what has never felt better.
This game was so good?? Having to go back and re-evaluate why I think X person said Y, only for new information to come to light and throwing my entire board into disarray was *chef's kiss*. 10/10 would erase my memory and play again, absolutely lovely. I hope everyone who is even slightly interested in this game because of the lovely pixel art will go for it.

I played the demo before and was very interested to see what the full story would be like and it made me tear up 3 separate times, so it gets a big PLEASE PLAY IT from me. There is no stressing or time limit involved when fulfilling customer's request (aside from an optional achievement that I managed to get by pure chance anyway) which is godsend. You just combine all the items in whatever order you want and if you do mess something up you can always just throw it out and try again before presenting it. The music is very cozy and the whole atmosphere of the game really envelops you in warmth. I hope we get to see more games like this.

The MISSING is a lovely and interesting story that was greatly hindered by gameplay, especially towards the end. It left me so frustrated and I feel the gameplay section of the finale could have been handled a lot better, as it greatly soured my overall enjoyment and left me struggling through, until I could finally see the credits roll. However, I am still going to say, it is a game one should experience for themself.

It is VERY in your face with the story it is trying to tell, so I don't understand how so many people miss the mark by such a large margin. Yes, the collectibles give you more tidbits, but even without getting a 100% the game still shows you EXACTLY who J.J. is, and I loved every second of it.
The voice acting was interesting, if a little lacking (once again towards the end), but it blessed me with such a fascinating new vocal stim of "Major hemorrhage"so, thank you based doctor.

This game was made with the belief that nobody is wrong for being what they are.

Didn't realize until after I had finished reading it and wondering why Saikoroshi-hen seemed so familiar, but I read the manga a long time ago. It's a good entry, definitely tugged at my heartstrings, but the feeling didn't stay long because the other two arcs are so.. pure fanservice, that I was just wondering what they were written for.

It's still a recommendation if you're a Higu fan and read the main story, but don't expect something groundbreaking from this extra.

Truly this is one of those games I would like to put a "maybe" recommendation?
I played this game to a 100%, have never played another Jake Hunter before, and this left me with more questions than answers.
The overall package I enjoyed quite a bit. The artstyle is what initally drew me in, the music is nice(but very repetitive) and the story sadly falls flat in the end. So I can't in good conscience recommend the game, but I also don't regret playing it either.. I'm very torn.
Lots of reviews have made very good points on whether you should look into this game or not, my two cents only amount to a "it could be nice", sadly it didn't have the WOW effect on me.

If you're here because you heard about the creator of Higurashi and Umineko and want to jump right into their newest work.. I'd rather advise you not to do so at the moment. As Ciconia stands right now it is very fresh and I feel you might not like it as much if you haven't experienced the other two yet. That is not to say, that I don't want people to try their hands at Ciconia, as it looks to be yet another promising entry to the When They Cry series, but this one, even more so than the others, throws concept and difficult settings in your face that may not be that easily understood, especially if you're not used to Ryukishi's writing style.
On that note, I feel like Ciconia is better at giving you an overview of the characters you are going to follow alongside without just infodumping their entire lifestory on you for hours on end. The music is fitting as always and the animations and little bits certainly made the game look incredibly charming. I've always been a fan of the meatball hands actually, and the art is very expressive.

So if you're already a Higurashi/Umineko fan, definitely look into Ciconia and theorize about what's going to happen! And if you're completely new here, nothing's stopping you from starting with this but .. if I might interest you in checking out the other entries first. That's my 2 cents.

On a more serious note, I love this game to bits. It took me several years of owning it to finally play it after the initial boom died down, but I was surprisingly still spoiler-free for the actual *BIG REVEALS* of the game, and that sure is saying something.

Mae coming home when she should be in college, mentions of depression, other mental health shenanigans and her disconnect to lots of things in this little town she calls her home, all felt very real to me.

Does the game go beyond "normal"? Sure, but the experience still rang true for me, I felt connected to it.
The soundtrack is so good and the little bass minigame made me spend lots of time on it, trying to perfect every song.
This game has an engaging story, a superb soundtrack, a funky style and it keeps you wanting more.

I truly wish for everyone to experience the gem that is Night in the Woods, it is so SO worth it.

To be really brutally honest, I never thought I would like this game as much as I do. It is not my kind of genre, and that is very much reflected on my actuall in-game skill but it is so much fun nonetheless!
From what I've seen the characters all have their pros and cons, finding someone who fits your preferred playstyle might take a while but with a rotating selection of free-to-play characters every other week you're sure to find one eventually.

This is just my personal feeling, but the European server still feels a little empty, so I'm hoping for more people to try their hands at this game.

From what I've seen the developers are very actively engaging with the community and working on making the game better in anyway they can, which is a big plus from me.

Fatal Twelve was so much more than I thought it would be! I went into the game completely blind and I was positively surprised at every corner. The characters are well-written, and even (most) of the ones I thought to be completely unlikeable grew on me over the course of the game.
The story slowly unravels, it sucks you in, you start to feel for the characters and it punches you in the gut, repeatedly. But in a good way.
I can recommend it to anyone who wants a mystery death game that goes quite a bit beyond what it seems to be on the surface. With several endings there is also lots to explore, after your first read. The CGs are very detailed and the music and voice acting makes the whole scene come truly alive.
I'd gladly wipe my memory to completely experience it again.

fantastic little game to collect a bunch of hot demon girls, funky epilogue and interesting secret ending. however the difficulty spike for the final boss was pretty extreme, at least for me.

definitely want to support the creator for making such a lovely game free.
