I mean, it's Civ. You'll spend hours upon hours in this game, trying new strategies, civilizations etc. The new content is ace, and they keep updating and tweaking so there's always something new to come back to. Rise and Fall got some harsh criticism, but I would probably consider the Gathering Storm the best incarnation of Civ yet.
