Love it! Turning humans into cocoons or popping a clowns nose is fun. I think one thing that sets this game apart is the 3v7 aspect. It forces both sides of the fight to have some type of teamwork. A squad of clowns working alone will get wiped by a few coordinated humans. Vice versa a single clown can turn a bunch of humans into cotton candy if the humans are separated and in-cohesive. Makes for a lot of interesting situations.

The gameplay and rewards keep me coming back. Character customization is great too, allows for a lot of variety.

Can't wait to see what is planned for the future, I'm already having a blast!

I've put in about 60 hours on Vic 3 as i'm writing this review.
I've played the other pdx games and have put in 100+ hours on all but vic 2.
Although I do have Vic 2, I specifically held off on playing it as I wanted to experience this one fresh.

I love Vic 3. Coming from the perspective of someone who loves economy/production type games in general, I think Vic 3 is amazing.

It combines their usual historical grand strategy simulator style game with pop & production management that is similar but also very different to games like anno. The economy and production simulation in Vic 3 is the best that I have seen in this type of game.

The economy has A LOT of moving parts and resources. You want to build some ships, weapons or industry well you need resources first, either by producing yourself, trading or both. You may need to research the proper tech first which might require more educated workers which will require more schools. These all have side effects on things like population standard of living, nation relations, Rebel/Loyal pops and more.

The economy is the foundation here, but there is so much depth in the other aspects of the game such as war, colonization, diplomacy, politics and more. Your economy is the engine that powers all of this and the game puts you in control of your economy. You can even use laws and decrees to further push your economy to match your vision. To pass these laws you need to balance your political parties appropriately. You want a free trade economy? Well you want to make sure the industrialist faction is gaining power so you can pass a law like that with ease. But watch our for the trade unions faction, they won't like that one bit.

I think Vic 3 is going to be phenemonal for players that are new to the series. I understand seasoned players want to see some more in depth elements from other pdx titles, like more in depth war mechanics that is seen in HOI4. That would be cool too.

Looking forward the next updates. For now, back to expanding my market across the globe!

I've played most of the other paradox games and I can say that EU IV is among the best of them.
Combat is great, exploration is satisfying and colonization is rewarding.

You can play as any country during these time periods. You can colonize the Americas as any European power or guide colonial united states through independence and early expansion.

You can play the game in the footsteps of history or you can throw a wrench in everything and take the game on butterfly effect detour.

This game is just amazing.
