Lives up to the first on, in my opinion. The graphics are better - the character looks more lively and showed more emotion that the first game but the characters are less interesting compared to the first game.
The game is still beautiful and breathtaking, no doubt.

Repetitive gameplay and just okay story. Most fun part is just blowing up my partner's car/plane every second.

my favorite game of all time, still hits me in my 2nd playthrough
but this remastered version was a mess, it had a lot of bugs regarding the subtitles and voice lines

Bought this game ignoring other people's complains since Chloe isn't here thinking people just like to complain. I was wrong.

I do not mind Chloe not being in the game since their breakup is realistic and I trauma bonds won't last long - but that wasn't the problem. When playing episodes 1 - 3, I was like "This is SO GOOD, why are people complaining?". From the start LiS soul is there - the cozy main menu, the cozy atmosphere, funny and charming Max, and the soundtrack (LiS never fails with their soundtracks), everything was top notch. I really thought this had the potential to be better than the first one or at least True Colours.... that was until I started episode 4.

I do not know what the writers were on when they were writing 4 and 5. It was horrendous. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING????? I do not mind another character having superpowers but this is not how you do it. The twist was good, Safi can shapeshift, but MIND CONTROL the whole campus?? that is too much and I actually cringed on that part. I do not know why the writers think Max exposing her powers is a good idea, the game would've been way better if the powers did not go universal and affect everyone and everything, this was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy writing. Plus there was no major decision at the end, I do not even know if there is more than 1 ending, doesn't even feel like it.

When I played every other LiS games (including True Colours), I was satisfied with the ending, feeling like a part of my life have been filled from the void, but this one did not do ♥♥♥♥, i think it took a part of me instead, felt my time was wasted and disappointed this is the cannon timeline.

Plus there is a lot of performance / render issues, game crashed a lot of times (4070 Ti Super + Ryzen 7 9800x3D), also textures was also not fully rendered for 1-3 seconds when a cutscene is on. Sometimes I can also see the characters t-pose when loading a new cutscene or environment.

also please make killing Reggie an option, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying ♥♥♥♥

Had me at the edge of my seat for the whole game but then it suddenly ended like that?? Felt so rushed, felt disappointed. I don't think they're adding book 3...

screenshots looked really good but the gameplay is so ass

dookie ass spyware with the most uninteresting plot and tons of unnecessary features, and no private server like what. like bro i jus wanna play shooting cool ass monsters with friends not m,inecraft with some random bozos

THIS IS NOT A GAME! This is a storybook designed as a game. (i am not complaining)
One of the most creative way of telling a story, very vivid. Each story have different art styles which fit perfectly to their trauma and their personality. 5/5 creativity and the story is good but not a 5/5 story.
What a game, I actually don't think I will find another game that has this unique way of storytelling.

The most realistic and immersive dialogue in a video game I've ever seen. I thought this was gonna be like Night in The Woods where there's no voice acting, just like an interactive novel, but I was wrong. I actually don't think there's any game with better voice acting or dialogue like this, after the first scene I knew this game would be a masterpiece.
However, the movements were chunky, NPCs were moving weirdly, and there were many bugs especially the config with controller or something, but it doesn't matter when the dialogue is THAT immersive. Definitely on my top 3 games of all time.

Close to perfection.
Did not hit as hard as I was spoiled a lot of times and expected most of the stuff but it is still one of the most beautiful games I've ever played, even with a low tier graphics card.
