As a former Everquest player, I was easily talked into getting this from a buddy. Started playing and couldn't stop. My older boys watched me play a bit, asked some questions about it. I more or less let them know this is a game from my generation and they probably wouldn't like it.

After a short time, they got it anyway. I suspected they wouldn't last, this fortnite / rocket league generation has much different expectations of games these days. I couldn't have been more wrong.

50+ hours later both of them can't stop playing. They appreciate the difficulty, consequences, and rewarding feeling of progress for the increased effort required for their time. The 3 of us haven't been into the same game at the same time for a while, but Pantheon definitely had the hook for all of us.

Highly recommended. Highly recommend recommending it to others you may not think would enjoy it, also. Looking forward to the completion of this amazing project and hoping to have it around for decades to come.

My friend left a negative review of PoE2. So now I have to leave this positive review to counter-balance my friend's negative review, essentially being a neutral review between us. I don't think this game deserves a neutral review because it's such a good game. I need to find someone else to leave a positive review so that between the 3 of us it would be an above average review...

Didn't even scratch that MMO itch for an hour. I had to force myself to keep playing long enough to finish the starter zone. It's a cluttered mess of a game that is devolved from MMO's of the past. And what's with that dang floating doll following me around everywhere making silly little girl noises!!!

Real life simulator the way I always wanted real life to be, except for becoming a serial killer, but even that's growing on me... 10/10

Decently written campaign story, fun combat, and I suck at multiplayer which shows it's similar to other well received multiplayer games. Worth the $10 I spent on it, easily...

This game is quite a fun strategy game. My hope is that when they add turbo mode it becomes relevant as the primary way to play, since my only complaint is the duration of each match. 20 minutes would be great per match IMO. These will generally go closer to 45+ minutes.

I highly recommend this game for strategy lovers.

My review I'm changing to be recommend but that is conditional. The official servers are not that fun unless you are an obsessed gamer that wants to become king of the hill. I am not, but I still recommend this game now due to the control over player made servers. Me and my kids have had a blast with our own rules and tweaks to our own servers.

Also, still buggy but much improved overall from back when it was still early access and even shortly after "official" launch.

I'm new to the moba genre. I once tried Heroes of Newerth, but my first match I got rediculed and ejected from the match for not knowing what was going on, haha. That was a few years ago. My friend recently got me to download League of Legends and give that a try with him. I've mostly been against the moba genre probably from my experience with HoN, but LoL was decent. I had fun.

I decided to give Dota 2 a shot since it's a similar game but, in my opinion, better graphics and has Linux support so maybe I could get my brother to play it with me (he has now). I got to say, Dota 2 has sucked me in. The tutorial was very helpful for getting me to understand the genre as a whole better. I'm playing human vs human matches now and do decently well, sometimes being the carry for a team win. It feels to have a faster pace than LoL, which I like, and the learning curve while present, is not overwhelming. The heroes are very distinct and offer seemingly limitless playstyle opportunities..

I've been looking for a game to get "addicted" to for a long time, and although I never thought it would be a moba, Dota 2 has got me hooked.

Update: Try to avoid mid-day play times. Lots of bad playing Russians on the U.S. servers during our day, and since they don't speak english, there's no communicating. They don't generally use in game forms of quick communicating either, such as pinging a location on a map. Also most seem to not grasp how to play a MOBA in general. Not sure why they don't stay on easy bot matches because they'll never help win a real match or higher difficulty bot match.
