One of the best games I've ever played! Absolutely amazing world-building and characters along with amazingly novel game design mechanics. A 10/10 masterpiece

Don't look up anything about this game beforehand. It's reputation is well-deserved.

The only negative is that you can only play it for the first time once.

TIP: Really good game to play along with a friend or two to help connect the dots and get those satisfying "a-ha!" moments together with.

A rare 10/10 game. Genuinely one of the most fun I've ever played!

Great story, novel game mechanics, INCREDIBLE presentation, fantastic artstyle, a super captivating and engaging story, and extremely likable (and unlikable) characters.

Does social commentary super well and is just a lot of fun throughout. Highly recommended.

DLC does what it's supposed to I guess; it adds in the Gen 7 car.

So can you then simulate the 2022 Cup Series season? Nope.

Bristol Dirt is here but Nashville and COTA are missing despite them being in NASCAR Rivals which runs on the same engine. And ultimately why would you want to play the 2022 season halfway through 2023 on the 2020 game anyway instead of having a new game?

They honestly should have just ported an updated NASCAR Rivals and called it NASCAR 23.

Well...what they should actually do is shut down and give the NASCAR license to a dev who is even half competent instead.

10/10

A masterpiece. One of the few games that have made me breakdown in tears.

A master class of game design on all levels from storytelling, voice acting, music, and world design. Tackles themes of death, life, family, grief, happiness, and loss in ways I've never seen before.

A must-play without a doubt.

I cannot put into words how amazing this series is. The story-telling, characters, music, voice acting, all of it is simply exquisite.

This was my first visual novel series and the only downside with that is that all the future ones I play will have ridiculously high bars to meet.

I cannot recommend this series enough even if you (like me) have/had little interest in VNs. The story alone is breathtakingly good.

My only recommendations are to obviously play all three games in order and 100% them before moving on to the next. These games build on each other in a fantastic way and you are expected to have prior knowledge of the previous games when playing the next ones.

A solid 10/10 series. A true masterpiece

Absolutely unplayable.

-Constant fatal errors
-Almost no force feedback in wheels
-No mirrors
-No track map
-Zero depth to the career mode
-Cars bounce around
-Broken track geometry
-AI is brain dead and more or less locked onto set racing lines
-Broken/missing cautions
-No stages
-Micro-transactions being prioritized before bug-fixes
-Totally incorrect driver ratings
-Broken timing and scoring system
-Glitchy animations, texture pop-in, lighting errors
-Pointless paint booth that lets you make schemes that can't be run in career mode

It saddens me to say that Motorsport Games has actually managed to make a sports game worse than Madden.

May the Racing Gods have mercy on the future NASCAR, IndyCar, BTCC, and WEC games from this group of incompetents.

SOMA is a story-driven horror game brought to you by the team who made Amnesia. While the game classifies itself as "survival horror" it is more of a walking sim as, while there is some puzzle-solving involved, inventory management and combat are non-existent, That being said, if you are looking for one of the most thought-provoking stories set in one of gaming's most immersive worlds, SOMA is the game for you.

Story:
Absolutely fantastic. So fantastic, I don't want to really go into it too much as it's better left experienced without any knowledge before hand. Lots of twists, turns, and revelations, however, keep you on your toes and you will become invested in the well-crafted world.

In addition, the character writing and voice performances are fantastic! The player character, Simon, is extremely likable and easy to relate with. And the same goes for many of the other characters you will meet along the way. SOMA's writing and direction makes everyone feel like a real person and it is one of the highlights of the game.

In addition, SOMA delves into some thought-provoking and intense themes. The very ideas and notions we have of humanity, ourselves, and consciousness are brought into question. Various ambiguous moral dilemmas also appear throughout the game, forcing you to make split-second decisions that sometimes have no real morally right or wrong answer. You will laugh, cry, question your existence, and be scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at times all in the span of this game's 7-9 hour story.

Gameplay:
As stated before, gameplay in SOMA is fairly basic but should not be considered the main draw for this type of game. This is an atmospheric, story-driven game. So do not play this if you are not looking for that going into it.

Player actions are fairly common fare: walk, run, crouch, jump, etc. You can also interact with most items to grab and drag them around similar to a Source engine game. This makes the game feel a bit more alive as you can rummage through drawers, throw things, inspect items, etc.

"Combat," as stated, is non-existence. Dealing with enemies is the standard stealth game affair: crouch to avoid making noise, stay out of their line of sight, run when detected until they lose interest. Nothing groundbreaking but with as creepy as some of the enemies are and with how the game wants you to experience its story, it works very well.

Music/Audio:
Sound design in SOMA is amazing! The ambient sounds of the world create both a lived-in and unsettling environment for the player to explore. The sounds of monsters running/shambling around will put you on edge as well and maybe even give you a few goosebumps here and there.

My only complaint with this game is the music. It is very good and really enhances certain moments in the game. But you only notice it maybe once or twice. It's sparing usage no doubts helps to elevate it in the moments it is used, but I feel like it could have been incorporated in a bit more. This is more of a personal preference, however, and I don't really see this as a major flaw with the game.

Final Score: 10/10 Masterpiece

I LOVED SOMA. After playing the first 4 hours, I went to take a break, only to come back after a few minutes and beat the game as I had to see what happened next. In fact, one of the reasons I'm writing this review the next morning is because I can't stop thinking about the game.

SOMA isn't for everyone, but if this review or anything on the store page for the game has piqued your interest even a little, I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

704Games was honest with us. This game is pretty much a copy/paste of HEAT 4 with a few quality of life improvements. This is so the team has 18+ months to work on HEAT 6 where they will more or less be rebuilding the game from the ground up on a new engine.

Knowing that, if you want to support 704Games, buy this game. If you don't care about that and only want a solid NASCAR game for cheaper, buy HEAT 4.
