In the end, downloading 100gb for some discord points was not really worth it.

I tried it on release and immediately got turned down. They throw you inside a small map full of most difficult enemies with nothing on your hands. Everything gangs on you and kills you instantly as soon as you get spotted. Took me a good while to find a proper gun with ammo, only to get spotted and killed under a second by 5 different enemies. So basically theres no real enemy/difficulty progression like in the base game, it's just max difficulty from the start, just grit your teeth in the beginning and then it gets progresively easier? Not really sure because I haven't been able to force myself to give it a second chance since then. I've really enjoyed the base game and comlpeted all achievs there but this DLC really wasn't for me.

This dlc is surprisingly very fun. I like the new stuff, leveling and replayability. They've delivered good. If you liked fighting hordes in story then you will love this DLC.
Theres only so much they can do with this game after so many years, we need Days Gone 2. Sony should really get their stuff together and approve it already.
Some negative stuff:
DLC is deffinetly not flawless tho. More than half of the big hordes you fight there are on flat terrain. Small hordes are fine but when you encounter a gigantic static spawn horde or lategame hordes you'll realize that the whole horde slaying thing really wasn't made for empty open fields for the giant hordes, your can't really kite them, you take ages to run away, only fire a few bullets and they're again right on you smacking you, repeat again and again and hope to not run out of stamina. Very frustrating. You can go to a kitable place before the next horde spawns but when it comes to static hordes youre almost always forced to fight them in open area which was a terrible idea imo.
But like i said there's only so much you can add to already finished game, there aren't too many kitable places for giant hordes in the map, probably that's why many static hordes are on emptier places. I don't mind it that much, I bet there are going to be tons of player made guides on yt within the first week.

So far it doesn't look good, maybe bad optimization, maybe it's cause i have 3-4yrs older gpu generation?
Everything looks like its been coated in wax, it's so pale and shiny. Also all models and textures are very blurry unless its less than 1 meter in front of you, maybe some rendering problems? idk. The lights make such a strong fog i feel like im in silent hill. If this is supposed to mimic reality then years old base game did that much better than this. Hope it will look better in full release.

Pros:
Very good survival game. Gather many resources, craft and build many things. You scan and gather plants and creatures, grow plants in planters and keep creatures in aquariums, build big bases, have giant submarine, explore depths, survive terrifying horrors in deep waters, discover mysteries and try to escape the planet you crash landed on. Not much more to talk about, overall almost perfect survival game. I can't wait for Subnautica 2.
Cons:
The game doesn't have map, it can get very confusing so you have to craft many beacons to keep track of areas and cave entrances you've discovered and to not get lost.
You unlock ion batteries way too late right before the end of the game so theres not even point in using them.
The game has minor clipping issues with fish appearing inside bases or in submarines, and one time my whole subnarine got pushed like 200meters by leviathan instead of getting attacked.
You can build a tiny fast seamoth vehicle and its the best thing ever for exploring. When you have to explore deeper caves later in game it forces you to use inferior prawnsuit instead because it can withstand more pressure but also can't swim, only walk and jump and is so freaking slow. You also need it to mine big ore nodes. Why not just add mining drills and better pressure upgrades to much more fun to use seamoth?

It had many ups but also tons of downs from previous game. In the end i enjoyed it.
-I like the somewhat unique story and dialogues between characters.
-Resources are also gathered easier than in the first game except titanium for base building at the beginning but once you find the crashed ship it has tons of it.
-The biomes were just dark, there was no vibrant colorful biome like the first game had
-Even tho the map is like 50% smaller i got lost and confused much more than in the first game
-They've removed precious stasis rifle, theres no real effective way to fight leviathans, the only way is the extremly slow way with the prawnsuit. Screw the horror aspects, i wanna hunt big fish and delete it because its been constantly attacking me in the area and its annoying!
-Seamoth and cyclops were replaced with inferior seatruck, but at least you could take it to the deepest caves and even attach prawnsuit to it. But no more mobile base...
-You can unlock the ion batteries much sooner here so you actually have time to use them compared to the first game.
The 2 worst things I hated the most in this game.
1. I hated the surface ice worm section to the point i wanted to stop playing the game. Bigass labyrinth, it was either night or constant snowstorm during the day. Never could i see clearly. The snowfox vehicle was so bad i kept getting dismounted out of nowhere when the worm was around and the controls were horrible. I used the prawnsuit instead and i really hated the prawnsuit in the first game.
2. If you wanna have a stable source of thermal power, its impossible. I had 6 generators near vents the first time them made the power very fast, when i came back later all of them made the power as fast as just one (max power capacity still remained so all of them were still connected). Right after i turned on water filtration or parked my vehicle to charge, the base got drained 10 times faster than it was recharged. I was getting so furious because of it and never found any fix, in the end im convinced that its unfinished and broken piece of crap. So rip huge bases.

Horrible dlc. Why? Spirits. and maybe blood maykrs. Good enemy design and idea but bad implementation. Specifically the last level. Once you kill the demon it takes you ages to microwave beam the spirit and it slows you down, meanwhile other demons around you kill you in 1 second on nightmare (the stupid final boss fight). If you run out of ammo because of how much HP the spirit has, it will possess another demon and youre screwed. Game was bearable in the first 2 levels but the third one was horrible.
Final boss also teleported right on me and killed me under a second. Probably the worst final boss fight ever. You can get combo-killed there any second during the last phase.
The enemy spawns and combinations are also horrible here. They like to throw everything worst all at once in this dlc.
A good game design should make you be able to react on time in new areas where you don't know whats coming, even on hardest difficulty. Not in this dlc, if you're playing it the first time and on nightmare, you will get surprise killed at least in 2 or 3 specific parts. Got randomly stunned by one enemy and then killed by others in under a second multiple times.
When it comes to blood maykrs it might've been good enemy if they didn't place them in the worst possible situations and combine them with strongest enemies in waves (including the stupid final boss fight). You get swarmed from every corner and then they instakill you right after you peek from around the corner.
Playing first doom eternal campaign on nightmare gives you motivation to improve and was fun, this one just annoys you.

Running this game will add more value to your electric bill than you will ever make by selling those 1 cent bananas
