Best gun play of any FPS, period. Makes up for the bugs that will unfortunately never be patched, as antimatter has moved onto their next game.

Very good coop shooter

The game itself is great. The client could be more polished, but for 10 dollars it works well enough. Single player AI is a pushover, get it to play with friends.

Got this in the humble bundle. Been interested for a while but never wanted to pay the price. Glad I didn't. Unoptimized laggy mess for me on a mac, running at 10 FPS even with the absolute lowest video settings. It is a laptop, but this clearly isn't the most intense game.

My computer far and away beats the minimum requirements listed.

An enjoyable coop FPS. Stealth is difficult to pull off in random lobbies, so either go solo or find some friends. "Going loud" is good, mindless action. AI isn't too bright, but when they pile onto you it can get a bit hectic.

However, buy it on sale. $20 is ridiculous for the base game. A ton of the content is locked behind DLC. Do yourself a favor and pick up the GOTY (ON SALE), then go through and maybe buy a couple more DLC that interest you. Otherwise, expect to see a ton of unlocks with a big "X DLC Required" tag on them.

An enjoyable mod to the original RO. Very well done, it's honestly hard to believe that it was made by fans. Downside is that, given how old it is, there are alot of elitists. If you can look past that though, it's pretty good.

The mac version has terrible optimization. My computer meets the minimum requirements, and yet even on the lowest graphical settings I get terrible framerates. Given that my computer can run significantly better looking games just fine, there really is no explanation for this other than terrible optimization on the developers part. Mac and Linux owners should avoid until it is updated.

The devs have really delivered here. It's not often that we see an early access game see release. Great game, and I strongly suggest anyone interested in an out of the ordinary FPS experience to buy this.

Sanctum 2 has gotten quite a bit of negative press from users, almost all of whom played the original. Seeing both of them on sale, initially I was leaning towards buying the original. After playing Sanctum 2 and the Sanctum 1 demo, I happily decided on the sequel.
My biggest criticism of the original is that it seemed fairly bland. Remove the FPS aspect from Sanctum 1, and it would be a subpar TD game. Not to mention that the FPS gameplay itself in the original was fairly watered down.
Sanctum 2 on the otherhand is much more original in it's design. As a TD game alone, it may also have been subpar, however the FPS aspects have been significantly enhanced. Although primary weapons are locked to each character, there is a variety of secondary weapons and perks to unlock. Not to mention that there is still a decent tower variety.
I'm not one to particularly care for looks, however Sanctum 2 has graphics that are leagues better from the original. As well, there is a wide variety of maps in the game, further expanded via DLC if you're so inclined.
Two of the biggest issues are the limitations on the TD gameplay. As of now, only 15 towers can be placed, regardless of the map size (It's worth noting that it used to be 10). As well, barriers are a resource themselves, with limited number being alloted each round. In Sanctum 1, towers and barriers could be placed to your hearts content, as long as you had the resources. In the devs defence, early rounds don't require a large number of barriers, and by the mid-late game you will have plenty of barriers to create mazes with.
All in all, Sanctum 2 is a great game.

Amazing turn based strategy game. Great for experienced and new comers alike, the tutorial modes go from a simple one that gives you the basics while playing (Great for experienced strat players), to more in depth guides. With amazing graphics and music, as well as tons of DLC and community mods, you will get loads of gameplay time out of this game. I suggest the GOTY addition which includes all but the 2 most recent DLC's for only 20$ more.
