Old Review:
I've played Destiny 2 and 1 both since their launches. Its an ever-growing story game that is has a one-of-a-kind feel to it (at least for me). I am a huge fan of games that you can play with your friends cooperatively and fight tons of enemies. Raids (6 man "endgame" activities) are by far my favorite thing to play in the game. However, their pvp in my eyes is basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. With the new dlc that just released, this game is now more than ever about your guardians abilities for the last 4 minutes out of a 10-minute pvp match. "Stasis" aka freeze tag the game has now made their version of pvp even more difficult to enjoy, giving how it has been for the past couple of years. I never really have seen or felt "The Crucible" improve overall. It seems like the game forces you to do something in the pvp mode of the game so you at least play it once. Besides the crucible portion of the game, it is by far my favorite game I have ever played. I have met some amazing people which I can still call today my best friends. The community as a whole is surprisingly not too "toxic," at least from what I've experienced. There are plenty of things to do in the game, at least starting out, however if you are someone who plays this game as fast as possible, you'll most likely be waiting to complete all of your weekly objectives until the following Tuesday. Overall, game is nice. If you hate pvp, sorry

Edit:
As anyone who has played Destiny feels these past couple weeks or during the course of this latest season, everyone has felt nothing but a decline in the state of the game. Its getting BAD. Layoffs of some community member's most respected musical artists and workers, along with the game itself continuously bringing disappointment and lack-luster new ideas that players seem to enjoy. Everyone I have played destiny with has sunk thousands of hours into this game and it sucks seeing this game be in the state it currently is in. This is the first time in the 7 years ive played destiny where i've yet to pre-order the yearly DLC and also consider not buying it as a whole. Its in such a decrepit state to where I usually see 10-30+ people on my steam friends list playing, is dwindling down to 1-5 players at a time, sometimes not having anyone playing on it. The game needs serious help. And the fact that people who were genuinely upset at the state of the game at bungie brought it to their attention, and THEY get fired for it over the people who "actually make the decisions" is very disappointing.
