Sigh. Bad port. And bad game to begin with.
I'll keep this short, so here's everything I think doesnt work for this game : the music is not suited to the Prince of Persia universe,
Difficulty is only caused by bad games mecanics : controls badly responding (you want to wall ride up, you wallride sideways to your death), ennemies able to chain attack you without any way to counter (4 ennemies surround you? miss a parry and you lose half your health), ennemies able to attack you while in a final blow animation (you can't do anything but suffer the damage), hitboxes (you sometimes get hit, you dont know why), the insane damage the ennemies can put (especially when surrounded), the ennemies mobility and resilience (sometimes need 10+ hits to die). Platform mecanics are also cranky : often you dont know where you have to go (something the 1rd and 3rd game did perfectly) so you just... try, jump, wallride in whatever possible direction to find your way. The lack of spatial feeling means that you often miss a ledge or a post not because you didnt see it, but because you didnt really know what distance you were from it.
Cinematics are bugged, sound is lagging and sometimes just shuts down.
Controller doesnt really work, you have to remap all buttons at the start of the game, and even so you cant use some powers because you need to press 2 buttons at the same time and the game cant figure it out.
When the 1st game showed you different environnements, new tricky platforms puzzles and challenging but yet doable parts, this one is just a messed, bland levels, without color or inventivity, boring and frustrating to play, and so cheap on the sand you need to rewind that you'll do the same part, over and over, until you're sick of it.
