Story is serviceable, filled with your usual JRPG tropes.
Combat is fine for the most part. It can be quite janky at times, especially with hitboxes and animation clunkiness.
Sounds surprisingly nice, I dig it. No big complaints on music.
Chapter 7 is where all of my motivation to continue playing died. The game puts you into a situation with a certain two characters that must survive three waves of enemies around level 70. So if you had neglected those characters, like I did because I already had the perfect party, then you're plumb out of luck unless you stack heavy grinding on characters you don't like. Don't make the same mistake I did.
