The game has an incredible vibe and looks awesome, BUT

I can't play it. I have an RTX 2070 and it will run 100 FPS most of the time but every few seconds it drops to like 10-15 FPS? And I don't mean just when loading new areas - it's EVERY few seconds the entire time. I have tried everything. Lowering ALL of the settings to lowest. Whatever the async option does. Running DirectX 11. Locking FPS. Lowering the resolutions in display settings. Updating drivers. Windowed, borderless fullscreen, fullscreen. Reinstalling the game. Turning off G-Sync and switching to Max Performance in Nvidia control panel. All combinations of all of the above. NOTHING WORKS. IT STILL LAGS.

The game also crashes 50% of the startups and alt tabbing at any point when in the game also has a 50% chance to crash. And what's up with the 80 MEGABYTE crash logs? I have accumulated 10 of them already in the <2 hours I've been trying to get the graphics to work. That's 800 MEGABYTES on the first day!

I would love to try out this game and it looks fun as hell, but many of my friends and I have serious performance issues even with good hardware when other games work perfectly fine. I assume this is a serious optimization and testing issue.

I will buy this again in a few months and I assume this review will probably switch from thumbs down to thumbs up, but in its current state I cannot recommend to anyone who doesn't have top of the line hardware.

Very worth the 7,79€. Great concept and great execution.

Incredibly immersive game. Endless replayability.

Only problem is not only do you have to sometimes interrupt what you're doing and take care of your hunger/fatigue/thirst bar in real life, now you also have to manage all that ingame.

One person dying is a tragedy. Ten billion people dying is a statistic.

I can't believe how well this game runs for how good it looks. Incredible job from the programming team.

Gameplay is also fire.

Landfall never disappoints.

Now they just need to include the community made multiplayer mod into the base game x)
