What can I say about this game... it was love at first sight, even with the steep learn curve. It was 10 years ago when I found out about it (by then it was just a HL2 mod), downloaded it and there were no servers in Argentina (where I live) not even in Brazil or Chile. But it didn't stop me, I created my own server and started to learn the basics.

I'm not going to say it was easy, because it really wasn't but again, I loved the concept of playing as just one player and the freedom you had in terms of movement and precision.

I was lucky, because one day I saw an Argentine server and met an awesome guy who seemed to share the same love for this game that I had. He was just like me, hosting a server on his own computer, hoping that someone would join. So we decided to build a community and invite everyone we could. It still amazes me how lucky we were to find each other in a game that had almost no playerbase and no servers at all in our country. Got a little carried away but yeah, back to the game.

There's no assists and no stats unlike FIFA's Pro Clubs or PES' Become A Legend. Your skill is the ceiling. And that was what captivated me. I didn't care about the ugly graphics or the poor animations, it was all about the gameplay. There's nothing like this, and trust me, I tried a lot of games that tried to offer what IOSoccer does. It's a truly unique experience.

This game holds a lot of emotional value for me and I'm really excited to finally see it go public.
