If you like the infinity engine games you've already played this. If you don't know what those are but like Dungeons & Dragons or Pathfinder, you've also probably already played this. If you still haven't played this yet and you like RPGs and want to be engrossed in a game for 75-100 hours this is a good option. It's flawed and real time with pause combat is dated, but I still really love this game and will be starting POE 2 soon.
