Sloppy controls. Whiny background story that has nothing to do with the actual gameplay. Glad I got this in a bundle, because other than the pretty graphics, there's not much here, unless you're into teenage angst.

I've been waiting years for this, since it was on kickstarter, but never felt it was worth the full price. Finally started playing it after getting it as part of a bundle, and I'm really enjoying it. On Hard difficulty setting, you'll find yourself making a lot of decisions about whether to plow forward or backtrack to a save point, which gives the game some extra challenge. Looking forward to finishing the main storyline and seeing what lies beyond.

I played the original version for free on PC several years ago and was shocked by how tight and polished the game was. It stands up well to other platformers of the 8/16-bit era, even though it was a labor of love by one guy. I haven't actually beaten it (or the enhanced graphics version) on Steam yet, but I do own it. One day...

Completing the game is hard, but well worth the effort. I killed the last boss in Hell once, and took my last point of damage just after I killed him. I'd like to play through again one day, and live to tell the tale. Buy this game if you like platform shooters.
