Game is pretty cool, but this DLS is not really worth the time. Better watch ending on Youtube.

There is another similar game called Bullets Per Minute. The developers of Metal: Hellsinger are probably heavily inspired by overall gameplay and style of BPM. The problem is that they copied the gameplay and adjusted the graphics but lost the soul (sort of).

The game does not have a repeatability, sure there are modifiers and challenges, but you will grind the same levels again and again. Weapons does not feel that great, animations are chunky and its hard to land them on bit. You can forget about making shots every half bit - the game does not reward you for that.

Each level does not have its own music theme, since all songs are similar (if you are not hardcore metal fan). Enemy variety is missing as well and on maximum difficulty they are just super fat. Long fight are boring, there are enemies that just don't allow you to keep the tempo and enjoy the game. Guess why? Game does not keep the modified when you land hits in bear, but only when your hits deal damage.

Finishing mechanic is what actually makes the gameplay horrible. Instead of dodging damage at all costs you can face tank hits and projectiles because you can just press one button heal for all missing HP and warp to a different part of the arena.

If you are a beginner (sort of) then can recommend as a first game in this genre. For any other player - mediocre.
