The game is pretty good. Seems like top tier graphics, smooth game play mechanics, and a understandable coherent story too. But you better have an NVMe SSD (not just an external SSD, no, no, no... gotta have an NVMe SSD) or you are going to sit there and wait, and wait, and wait while the game loads.

I'll recommend this game, BUT, I'd hold off buying until the autumn sale or winter sale. I bought this at a measly 20% discount three weeks ago.... AND NOW 55% OFF, WTF !! ... went past the return window, so now I'm stuck with it.

Not buyin' it. Uninstalled... seems "scam" and dishonest devs or publishers.

I was ready to verbally assault La Quimera and hop on that old popular hate train. Truth be told, it is not that bad. I actually enjoyed the half hour I spent with La Quimera.

GRAPHICS: Yes, overall, they suck canal water, especially the character models. But only if you have 2020, 21, 22, 23, 24, or 25 graphical expectations. Think 2017, 18 or 19 and you'll have a better time. The environments are cool, though.

GAME PLAY & GAME MECHANICS: Think of games from 2018-2021 and you'll be a happy gamer. It reminded me of gameplay elements from games such as Crysis and Far Cry and Ghost Recon Wildlands.

VOICE ACTING: Yikes! It is just plain bad, but ok enough considering La Quimera is a sub-par game anyway.

STORY PREMISE: It's bland and generic, but serviceable.

The game is currently in Early Access, but potentially could be a better game.

Updated 9/10/2025 - I gave it a second chance and it is not so bad. BG works differently, but once I used the optional
"dark mode" and found out that the old version had profiles for each game existed and could be imported to the new version, I was less negative about it. The author responded to my nasty review and was kind enough to attach a link to the new BG guide. So, I'm giving it a "thumbs up" this time..

9/9/2025 - What the $%#^&* was the reasoning behind the GUI layout change. BG's GUI looks like junk and is confusing to use. (the actual program is probable still great). Thank God someone posted in the forums a link to a legacy version. Its free and I'd recommend it over this current monstrosity.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the graphics or gameplay loop. The story (or lack thereof) is disappointing and a few more weapons (guns) would be nice. Maybe with some patches over time Abyssus can be an awesome game (a great game right now for coop players)... refunded for now.

Land of War [LOL] is a fun little game (figuratively)., despite it being a pile of wank, Yes, this video confirms my thoughts about the game < https://youtu.be/cvas0DeSZ5s?si=oro4D41mzLci4fNV>. Land of War was on sale, LOL's throw-back to early 2000's MOHAA or COD style gameplay mechanics and WW2 Polish perspective lured me into purchasing.

I should have paid attention to the guy in the video. So, no, no, no for a recommendation.

But, I can play with the comfort of knowing that it was cheap [$15] for the game and all additional DLC including the soundtrack. So I keep it and see if I can juice up the visuals with Reshade and other mods if possible.

From what little I have played, I didn't realize how good Deadzone Rogue was until purchasing and playing it. The graphics surprisingly do not require Reshade (graphic enhancement) as they are pretty much optimized already. The gameplay is smooth with a fluid combat system. Upgrading weapons, armor, and other gear is a simple matter of picking them up from fallen enemies. Deadzone Rouge's single player mode is challenging fun, but I'm sure the cooperative mode is even better.

Seems ok for a F2P Tactical Shooter... runs good, plays smooth, is simple to play and the music is good. The game is PVE and PVP mixed together (so I hope it doesn't become a team killing, camper killing, hack fest. Watch some YouTube videos or read the Steam page for more details.

Seems like a "copy cat elements" of Serious Sam [3 + 4] and Duke Nukem [3D + Forever.]... which isn't a bad or negative point. The graphics, sound, level design, game mechanics, story concept, and even some of the menu layout [although unique] seem to follow right along with the games previously mentioned.

Brutal John 2 is one of those games that you can intermittently play without committing a lot of time. It really isn't too expensive for the entertainment value and fun factor,

The level design seems good... not a whole lot of detail or variety, but the 90's game design certainly does shine through. The pacing is fast with smoothed out par-core movement (nothing too crazy though). It reminded me of games like Quake II and Unreal Tournament.

The characters (enemies) seem ok for the most part, but the gun sounds, models, and skins need work... specifically the shotgun. Since the game is in "early access," I hope the game goes through more development and avoids becoming another "bargain bin special."

I paid $15 (which is too much for the game right now). But "early access" potential might make it worth your time.
