Do you wish what we in Scandinavia call Bilcross (or variations thereof) was in a game with believable driving and collision physics. Well it is in this game, it's more or less the backbone of this game in fact, more or less equal parts shared with destruction derby from the states and banger racing from Britain. If you like that side of racing, you'll most likely enjoy this game.

If you like the games series Flatout, do not buy this. This is nothing like the first two, if you liked those, Wreckfest is the game to get.

This is a great learning tool.

It contains really good information for getting to know your instrument, be it a bass guitar like I started with or a regular guitar. It has engaging courses that not just make you feel like you've had progress after taking a few, but they can show you that you've made progress. It also has some pretty fun technique games that further strengthen the skills you'll start to develop.

And then comes the part most players probably use the most, the "Learn a Song"-feauture. It is basically an evolving (with your skill level) Guitar Hero for your proper instrument. Learn a Song will give you good notetracks of real songs from Lady Gaga to Amon Amarth and the difficulty increase or decrease dynamically through the songs as the game learns your skill level. Then later when you're proficient with the songs you can play them in Score Attack and compete with other players world wide for the High Score to your favourite songs.

Now, mind you, this game also has a couple of weird issues with soundcards and recording-devices as the "realtone"-cable (An instrument jack to cable-integrated USB soundcard, thing...) requires that you use basic windows drivers and it really hates other USB soundcards. Most of the issues I've run into however have either fixed themselves by having windows change to and from the default audio devices, or by disabling the ones currently not in use.

Besides, even if I had to do that tinkering every time I wanted to play, it would still be a faster way of learning the guitar than the music teacher I had back in Elementary school, which originaly put me off learning this.
