Interesting plot with humorous villains and a strong lead character, but I believe the game could have done a better job of conveying its message. Combat is a lot of fun because of the close-up camera, which adds a cinematic and immersive element. The mechanics also give you a good amount of freedom. Parrying and blocking are enjoyable, albeit a little simple at times. It moves along at a great pace, and the boss fights are memorable and exciting with dynamic osts. The primary problem is that it's quite short—you could finish it in a day.

The graphics are alright, and I understand what type of art style they were trying to go for, but it just isn't for me. The game just feels unbearably clunky on either KBM or controller. The handling is sluggish, and it’s like the cars have a mind of their own most of the times. The story-line is as predictable as it gets, with zero depth or interesting twists and PAINFULLY cringe dialogue that made me want to kms. Don’t even get me started on the AI opponents, either it’s ridiculously easy or unfairly hard, no in-between. Overall, it's just not the thrilling NFS experience I was hoping for. Save your money and look elsewhere.

The first adventure by Gordon Freeman is fantastic. Lots of gunfire and the use of weapons. The entire plot is quite interesting, and the chapters are fascinating. Not only must we eliminate the aliens, but we also need to eliminate H.E.C.U., their soldiers, and their challenging Black Ops.

The Surge offers an exhilarating and fully immersive souls-like experience by offering strategic and intense battles thanks to its unique exoskeleton combat system. The plot is interesting enough that it leaves you wanting to know more. The world is filled with tough opponents, and a satisfying progression system. This is a must-play for fans of souls-like games. There is enough content that makes it distinguishable to other games of the genre.

At first, the game is fun and exciting. However with only a few matches i already begin to realise the flaws of the game. for some reason there are server issues which causes annoying lag and disconnection issues. There also seems to be a problem with the skill-based matchmaking system as it is pretty demoralising to be put against players who are clearly more advanced than you when you are a novice. the progression system is also horrendous and tedious, offering trash rewards.
