They are 2 for 2 - I don't think Kaizen Game Works is capable of making anything other than a masterpiece. Everything here feels incredible to play and the game-play loop is super addicting.

An insane first outing from a new studio and honestly a crowning achievement of the genre

Updating this review: The devs released a banner with SUPER high pull rates for great units/equips by mistake. The fix: put the banner back up with the same rates for two weeks and let people go crazy with pulls. This game is GOATed.

One of the most charitable "Brave-Frontier"-likes, especially if you start playing during an anniversary event. An overwhelming amount of mission content, unreal unit customization, and a (kind of overwhelming) skill system with hundreds of abilities to assign to units.

it's peak

This game is incredible. The story and characters are compelling, and figuring out what you need to type to uncover clues is incredibly rewarding and never feels like a chore. The freedom the game gives you to solve everything on your own is truly refreshing.

It somehow combines the best elements this niche genre has to offer (Return of the Obra Dinn meets The Last Express was the vibe I got throughout) into a complete, unique, and addicting package. I just wish there was a bit more music!

fun but it's very short for the price with little to no replayability. 100%'d it in 2.1hrs and I don't have a reason to revisit it
