honestly, i feel like it improves on ace attorney in pretty much every way that matters. two out of the five cases are great and two are genuinely incredible narratively, the overarching metanarrative is well-composed, and if the game's a bit easier at points frankly I don't mind much because I'm so much more gripped by the plot. the fantasy setting is utilized extremely well and I ended up caring about almost all the characters, which was a genuine surprise. good if you like umineko, DnD, or phoenix wright obviously.

cannot recommend it highly enough

I love AoS, and I like RTSes. Unfortunately this game delivers far beyond expected on the former, and is dismal on the latter.

The gameplay is sluggish and so overly simplified that when I read somewhere that it was also a console release it immediately solved the question of why the game plays the way it does.

For such a high-effort cinematic game, I wish they had chosen to do another genre altogether, or to make an RTS that's actually fun to play.

One of the greatest games I've ever played, and certainly a top 3 RPG. Belongs with the greats!!!!!!!!!!!!!

incredibly stylistic, beautiful art, great writing. if the concept sounds fun you'll enjoy it because it definitely lives up to it

I'm not sure I could feel more positive about this game. It does an excellent job taking advantage of the medium to tell an interactive story. I thought it was just the right length, keeping my interest the entire time without dragging at any point. If anything, I would've been happy to read more - but I definitely don't feel like it was a bad length for value. The visuals are beautiful, appropriate, and together with the music make for a great experience. If you're queer and especially trans, I could not recommend this game more highly.

Bit short, but if 20 dollars won't break the bank I would highly recommend it. Great visual and sound design, and a story that'll keep you engaged. Very good voice acting, satisfying combat, even if it's a bit simple (at least on normal difficulty - I imagine it could get a bit more dicey on higher difficulties).

Go ahead and try it my dudes

What a disappointment. I've played too many Warhammer games to expect to be disappointed by something as big as Dawn of War of all the franchises. This game just came out with too little content for me to be interested; I never played much multiplayer in anything other than Dark Crusade and Soulstorm messing around, the co-op campaigns in 2 (especially Retribution) and Last Stand were what I really enjoyed, but seem to have been swept under the rug in favour of a fairly uninteresting and uninspiring single player and a multiplayer that couldn't hold my attention for more than a few games.

Not the longest game, nor the most complicated, nor the hardest, but Owlboy was visually and aurally one of the best games I've ever played.

The gameplay is relatively simple, but satisfying, and some parts required multiple redos - as a person who generally enjoys coasting through games and experiencing them, this is preferable to a particularly difficult retro game ala Mega Man.

The story started off slow but a twist in the first half really caught my attention and I played through to the end, really enjoying the interactions between characters in this little world that had been created.

Despite the relatively low playtime/dollar ratio (the time I have now, 9 hours, is having completed the game with some side content, though not close to all of it) I could not recommend this game more highly to anyone who sees it and at the first glance is interested.
