An odd little beast that's less deck builder and more hand/deck & resource management in practice.

Playing on Steam Deck, no glaring issues but had a bit of slow down in a couple of battles.

First off, Void Bastards this ain't. Totally different gameplay loop, vastly different vibe.

Once you get past the disappointment that this isn't a "proper" follow up, there's a good game to be found here.

It's ostensibly a resource management board game and combat is resolved via FPS arena battles.

A nice little adventure game that primarily uses stat checks in place of esoteric item puzzling.

The story isn't too dark, considering the subject matter.

Played on Steam Deck, no bugs, ran well, inventory management is a touch clunky but fine.

Even after all these years this remains one of the scariest games ever made. It drips atmosphere, has a compelling plot and the character development mechanics are still some of my favourite to ever grace a game.
