Quick review

Fantastic game, I have played this thru many times over the years, on different consoles. I am a massive fan of the Trine games as they are very whimsical and can draw you into the world they created so easily.

> The game is visually stunning, loads of colour, bloom, rays, it feels whimsical.
> The music is honestly one of the best parts, the tunes are so fantasy, make the worlds feel enchanted and alive and really draw it together.
> Gameplay is classic 2D scroller, but slow paced, kind of Metroidvania, but obviously not as its not a free directional moving world, the puzzles are fun and the physics based challenges are well thought out and varied, there is also help/hints if needed.
> Difficulty is adjustable, but generally its not a hard game, combat is simple.

Generally the Trine games are in my top lists, this started it all and i am glad they keep going, a must have for fantasy fans, especially those looking for a break from RPGs but remaining in the genre.

SVG 3 Step Reveiw (Story, Visuals, Gameplay)

A superb game all round, stealth is great, action is good and sandbox elements executed really well.

Story
The story is fantastic, the prologue pops you straight into the action and sets up what is to be a lengthy and immersive story on a great journey through numerous locations in a futuristic setting. I found myself fully immersed within an hour and loving the progression that is presented to the player for their experience, this made me want more and more throughout! Not once was i bored during this game, i found myself reading all the emails and notes through the game to build up the story and exploring every area so i found every one. 9/10

Visuals
Stunning visuals throughout, although they may not be to everyone's taste. The graphics are top notch for the generation and beautiful environments really add to the immersion mentioned above. One thing to note, which some may not like, is the yellow hue to everything, however, i feel this adds to the unique beauty of the game and gives it its stunning unique look (much like the green hue in fallout 3 for example). 9/10

Gameplay
Never a dull moment with the gameplay here, there are three approaches to every area:
> Stealth - sneaking around, ducking into vents, cloaking etc..
> Techno - Hacking, using robots and turrets against foes
> Combat - run and gun
Having these three approaches and being able to mix and match at any time allows for so many different combinations of dealing with situations that there is very little repetition. The one part that truly lets the game down here (and is quite infamous) is the boss battles, which throw this out the window and turn into a battle, however, this is disregarded as the directors cut overhauls this for the better! 9/10

Overall i loved this game, its rare to have such a good shooter in this day and age with all the rehashes and lack of innovation, this game is my personal GOTY.

+ Great Story
+ Stunning Visuals
+ Awesome sounds and ambience
+ Innovative gameplay

- Boss battles (fixed)
- Yellow hue may not be to everyones taste
