I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this, but with so many glowing reviews and hearing the guys on CORE rave about it for weeks now, I had to try it for myself. Long story short, the Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam are well deserved.

The character creation was my first hint on how this was going to go; there is a fair amount of detail, but not an overwhelming amount and maybe hits a Goldilocks point - just right. Then I find myself on a Mindflayer ship and before I knew it I was 3 hours into the game.

I'm not used to the DnD mechanics and turn-based combat of this style. It was still pretty intuitive just jumping in, but I probably could have benefited from a few quick tutorials on how things worked had they been available. I'm sure there's plenty I'm missing that I otherwise wouldn't be if I were to know what I was doing.

I'm also impressed with their implementation of controller support. I didn't even realize it had controller support when I bought it, but found the settings under the Interface tab while looking around and decided to try it out. Whether playing with a controller or Keyboard and mouse, everything works well.

Without going on any further, I would recommend this game to anyone interested in role-playing games and, out of 10, would have to rate it, based on my experience so far, as a 9.5. I'm enjoying the hell out it.

Bought this to re-play as I had played it previously on console with the original release.

After about 2 hours of playing, I gave up. The "partial controller" support may as well be NO controller support. I'm sure there are some fixes out there, but this should have been dealt with by Ubi and not left to a user to go find for themselves. Thoroughly disappointed.

A great reboot of a classic series. Engrossing story and a good replay value make this game a must have.
