Exactly what I wanted out of CarX Drift Racing. It's a perfect homage to old racing games like NFSMW and NFS Carbon.

Handling is the perfect mixture of arcade ease-of-use and difficulty.

Graphically I felt it looked a bit weird in terms of too many effects but you eventually get used to it.

In terms of story, there isn't really one at the moment but you can see the foundations are in place for it to be added/updated later.

I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Good until it bricks your 300+ hour save never to be played again until you do a complete restart.

I've really been enjoying this, it combines a fun story with easy-ish hauling once you get the controls down and a fun micromanaging maintenance system. The driving is less so a space-based ETS or ATS and more driving within sectors and using warp gates to get to them. I would love to drive along a space super highway but I cannot fault this efficient system that's in place instead.

While I do wish the truck had lateral thrusters, it does add to the fun design of the game for you not to have them as you wouldn't on an actual truck.

There's also the issue of not being able to adjust your keybinds, though I reckon that will be added soon.

Looking forward to seeing what more is in store for this game!

I am addicted to this game.

I love managing long distance endeavours and trading, Eventually you move up to managing your own cities and developing your own trade agreements for passive income. There's even a political system which helps your trading but I'm yet to scratch that surface yet!

Cannot wait to see what more they could add to this already content-filled game.

Really enjoyed my time with this game, it has a fun concept similar to Oxygen Not Included but eventually a storm rolls in and you have to move on to the next zone offering different biomes and refreshing materials.

The downsides are that it's poorly optimised, the tech tree is a bit iffy as you can pick recipes for buildings without having the foundation material to make them known yet and I would personally like a bit more control over the golems.

I see a bright future for this game however and I am truly excited to see what is in store!

I love this game, but...

The optimisation was terrible on release and with the slow seasonal updates it has only progressively gotten worse. Now it's difficult to enjoy what little new content is added without suffering headaches from stuttering frame drops.

An incredible RPG to play regardless of if you like D&D or not!

Larian also listens to their community and are pushing out patches and updates faster than I could imagine!

Everything I have ever wanted and more from a retro arcade racer!

The driving is simple but complex enough to keep you engaged.
The tracks are lovingly made arcade renditions of real world tracks which are simpler but still fun to drive, can't believe this game made me enjoy the Hungaroring.

There's plenty of content to get your teeth in to and I cannot wait for more!

A HUGE step in the right direction. Heat was good but this one feels much better! Seems they're listening to us now!

The few complaints and things I was worried about rather grew on me;

I kinda like the new designs for characters, they're fun and in my opinion aren't too important as it is a car game.

The effects grow on you after a while, if you're watching footage of someone play it you have time to focus on them but while you're driving you barely notice them but add to things like crashes and drifting when you do.

The zoomer humour isn't too bad either, despite there still being some characters who are just cringe, some jokes still caused me to crack a smile.

The soundtrack is meh. It doesn't add to the feel of the game as it's all, as a significant character put it: Sad Boi Hiphop. Needs some heavier stuff, maybe fast paced and definitely harder bass.

Overall though it's a really fun racing game with good arcade physics and I'm looking forward to playing more!

P.S. The advertising team did this no justice.

Edit: Nevermind, there's an awful bug where your save file gets desynced from online and it's caused me to lose all my progress. They refuse to fix it.

If you're comparing this game to Overwatch you're not in the right mindset.
This game is a great game by itself. It combines a great shooter while also combining the thoughtfulness of purchasing upgrades to aid and effect your team.

The game is entirely free, you'd be mad not to try it!
