Early Access Review
This game is overall pretty fun, although I have a few gripes with it. Namely, there are no difficulty levels to pad a person's introduction to it. I've played a few "simulator" type games in the past but this one is very intense, so it's kind of frustrating go in blind (other than practicing in the breaching room). Enemy AI can also manage to hide in some pretty BS spots and get nasty hits on you without ever being detected. And I know stuff like that can happen IRL and it's a simulation but sometimes it's so wacky that it's kind of absurd.

Still, playing with friends is pretty fun and the overall gameplay is fantastic. I also commend the devs for putting so much detail into staging each area and for dealing with real-life issues and evils that few others actually go near with a ten foot pole. I recommend this game and I'll be happy to see how it evolves once it's out of early access.

Early Access Review
------*OLD REVIEW*-------
This game has a GREAT concept—unfortunately it's in early access and has many flaws. Given that, I don't recommend it right now, but I do think it could work in the future. The early access version just has too many bugs, frequently crashes or freezes up, menus are sometimes busted (have to click a button multiple times to make a prompt go away, etc.), and sometimes you're just not able to fulfill calls/etc. because the game is having a hiccup.

Additionally, the game lacks some aspects that would make it stronger. There's not enough variety with citizens, for example (their faces and dialogue are often way too similar or just cut-and-pasted, and I'm pretty sure two voice actors are taking care of them all). The violation system doesn't allow you to stack multiple violations per incident. I've also had an issue with there being an absurd shortage of handcuffs (I was responding to an accident involving a DUI driver who struck three people, but didn't have the handcuffs to arrest him, so I just had to let him go after giving him an accident report). The game feels like it has a lot of potential but at its current state has not lived up to it.

I will probably move to recommend the game when it leaves early access and has undergone MAJOR updates/fixes.

-----**UPDATED REVIEW**-------

The game has definitely improved since early access days. Radio callouts have more variety, cases can go in several directions, and gameplay is overall more fluid. However, the game still has its bugs. Unfortunately, many cases can't be resolved due to glitches. Sometimes, illegal items are found but you aren't told what they are. The game also can be inconsistent in terms of what it deems as 'justified' or 'unjustified,' which can result in many frustrating losses of Conduct Points. I also think this game would benefit from actually having situations where you can permissibly discharge your firearm just to spice it up. I should also mention that I think the game would benefit from officers not always being responsible for a car accident when they involve your vehicle; sometimes people blatantly violate traffic laws and crash into you or swerve too suddenly when you're driving by with lights and sirens and you can be penalized if you don't take accountability for them. It's kind of stupid. Otherwise, very fun game and compared to its early access period it has a lot more diverse gameplay, with more to be desired in other areas! I give it a soft recommend.
