Dreamt about this game, thats how much I am invested.
The seas call to me.

It's very upsetting to me that such an amazing game, that has more than enough resources to hire skilled artists, and has done so in the past, has resorted to implementing AI assets into their in-game maps. Red Barrels can absolutely do better than this.

These AI assets are in the form of images on walls, and (I believe) the posters you can hang up in your room. It's disappointing that the extraordinary artist work that DOES exist in the game is pitted against soulless, rehashed work.

I wish I could give this the rating it deserves, but until the AI content is rightfully revoked, this review will stay negative.

A glorified Papa's Burgeria with pleasing graphics, non-stressful gameplay (unless you WANT it to be), unique music & cats. Lots of cats. I spent five hours on this on my first play, and I genuinely had no idea until it crashed on my best friends game while we were doing co-op. It felt like an hour because of how much fun I was having.

The game's pacing is perfect for me, I never felt bored once. They switch some things up and introduce new things just enough for it to be fun and not overwhelming.

Absolute 9/10, would be better if it was *just* cats instead of.. random catgirl spawns out of nowhere. Kind of diminished the wholesome vibe I was under.

For an early access game, it exceeds my expectations by a metric ton.

The amount of content in the demo, let alone the game, is astonishing and obviously incredibly entertaining!!
I have barely found myself getting bored. If you play the game with no guides and focus on growing your business as intended, you'll find yourself running from cops, mixing crazy blends with giggle-inducing names, and most importantly, bringin' in the dinero.

When I reached the end of the demo ver, I was genuinely upset!! I wanted to play more & couldn't wait for an opportunity for me to buy the full game for my best friend & I. We have since racked up around 30 hours in the week we've been playing and its consumed our free time. No regrets.

I wish there wasn't as many bugs, but when it's early access, you learn to expect them.
Overall, the few bugs I've encountered (quite few for a game thats new I gotta say) haven't hugely impacted my experience or saves/gameplay.

I like how transparent the development is, too. There's a Schedule I trello that shows the roadmap of development. ( new drugs, parkour, emotes etc..) I don't see a lot of people doing that anymore, so it's a big thumbs up in my book to see this level of dedication and love for a game.

This game really is just great all round! I can't wait to see where it goes.

Never in my lifetime did I ever think I'd be so engrossed in a game such as this, especially one recommended to me by a good friend. I'm used to very basic and bare games with little to no depth in their stories. Shamefully, before picking up Yakuza 0, I spent an embarrassing amount of time on gacha games. This change of pace was like a breath of fresh air. In confidence, I can *guarantee* that after playing consistently for like.. three to four(?) weeks it will be a LONGGGG time before I go back.

I've never cried over a story cutscene before. I've never felt such a STRONG emotional connection to any video game characters before. The way everything is set and written keeps me guessing & invested so deeply it's like the real estate minigame. For a game I've only played for around 55 hours it's soared it's way to the top of my list with ease. ( and god, don't even get me started on the soundtrack. )

I haven't even finished the game and I'm practically foaming at the mouth to indulge in more content. I could not recommend this game enough if I tried.
