Just Shapes and Beats is such a polished game. It's clear how much time was put into getting things exactly right - from the impeccable syncing of music transitions, to the spot-on timing of the visuals, to the simple and intuitive menu screen, pretty much all of this game is made with love.

The story is somewhat short - but multiplayer can make the fun last quite a bit longer. Party Mode is a fun add-on that can easily be background noise for an event.

If you love Ryhthm Games, buy this game.

If you love Bullet Hell, you'll find this easy, but a fresh take on the genre.

If you love neither, you may not find what you're looking for, though it may be fun to play with friends to experience the beats in a casual way.
