Fill Up The Hole - Review

Fill Up The Hole has a very simple visual style, but the colors added by the balls give it a nice touch. It’s easy to understand and doesn’t go too deep, but still manages to be engaging.

Gameplay and Features

The game features multiple endings and a skill tree, which add variety and objectives to aim for. Even though I didn’t unlock everything in the tree, I was still able to complete the game. Progression kept me entertained for nearly 7 hours, though the end felt stretched out — a common trait in this type of game.

Final Thoughts

Fill Up The Hole is a fun, simple game that’s easy to get into and offers more depth than it first appears. It doesn’t overcomplicate things, but provides enough content and variation to keep it satisfying through to the end.

Keep on Mining! - Review

Keep on Mining! uses a simple art style, and while there’s some satisfaction in clearing everything on the screen, the overall experience left me underwhelmed.

Gameplay and Features

The game feels long in the boring sense rather than the rewarding one. Progression is slow, to the point where I often left the game running in the background just to use the mine and push hours forward. While it does eventually move along, the journey doesn’t feel engaging.

I did finish it in about 12 hours, but the enjoyment wasn’t really there.

Final Thoughts

Keep on Mining! might provide brief moments of satisfaction, but it’s mostly a grind that drags on. I would like to recommend it, but I can’t.

Magic Archery - Review

Magic Archery is a free-to-play game from the same developer behind Tower Wizard, a title I also enjoyed playing and completing. Just like that game, this one keeps things simple but engaging.

Gameplay and Features

The art style is minimalist, but it works well for what the game is trying to do. Progression is very fast-paced and satisfying, making the short playtime feel rewarding rather than empty. I managed to complete the game in just under 50 minutes, and while brief, it kept me entertained the whole way through.

Final Thoughts

Magic Archery is quick, fun, and worth playing, especially given that it’s free. It doesn’t overstay its welcome and provides a satisfying progression loop despite the short runtime.

Nodebuster - Review

Nodebuster comes with a very simple art style, but the transitions between parts are quite nice, and the sound design adds to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the pacing is its biggest weakness.

Gameplay and Features

The game starts painfully slow, to the point of feeling boring within the first hour. Things do pick up, but the overall pace remains sluggish. While there are enjoyable elements along the way, the end stretches things unnecessarily, requiring patience more than skill or creativity.

Despite this, it offers some small moments of charm, and I still pushed through to complete it in about 6 hours.

Final Thoughts

Nodebuster is mid overall — not terrible, not great. The art and sound design give it a pleasant touch, but the repetitive pacing and dragged-out ending keep it from standing out.

DIGSEUM - Review

DIGSEUM is a funny-looking game with a very simple art style. Despite its minimal visuals, it manages to deliver solid entertainment thanks to its progression systems and sound design.

Gameplay and Features

The game starts off a bit repetitive, especially since early progression requires frequent prestiging. However, once upgrades and systems begin to unlock, it gets much more engaging. The scaling of upgrades feels satisfying, giving a strong sense of progression.

Relic and dig site leveling adds another layer of depth, allowing you to set objectives for yourself beyond just the basics. The prestige system is surprisingly developed: while early on it can feel like a grind, later on you can unlock and buy things instantly, which accelerates the pace dramatically.

Progression moves quickly, and by the endgame the scaling becomes insane — once you break through certain walls, things snowball and the game speeds up in a very satisfying way.

Final Thoughts

Overall, DIGSEUM is simple but surprisingly rewarding, with its progression systems carrying most of the fun. While it can feel repetitive in the beginning, giving it time pays off with an enjoyable experience, especially for fans of incremental-style games.

Trainatic - Review

Trainatic is a visually appealing game, though some levels can look a bit too simple at times. It’s pretty entertaining overall, but once you get a bit more advanced, the gameplay shifts: you’re basically not doing much anymore. That can feel satisfying in a “watch it go” kind of way, but also a little disappointing.

Gameplay and Features

The grind is definitely noticeable. At certain points, you can spend 15–20 minutes just to get a single upgrade. Thankfully, each upgrade drastically changes the game, which makes the effort feel fair and rewarding. Towards the end, though, things start to stretch out — you’ll need strong damage, a solid train build, and upgraded armor, which all demand more grinding before you can progress.

Despite this, the game remains fun, and I managed to reach 100% completion within 8 hours.

Final Thoughts

Trainatic is enjoyable, with a good mix of visual style and progression mechanics. It does drag in places with grind-heavy requirements, especially near the end, but overall I found it worth finishing and fun to play through.

Piñata Go Boom - Review

Piñata Go Boom is a funny and charming little game. It looks good while keeping things simple, and it’s easy to get into right away. That said, it can feel a bit repetitive, and at times the grind starts to show.

Gameplay and Features

The core gameplay is entertaining, though it doesn’t evolve much as you go. Still, it’s satisfying in short bursts. Completionists will be happy to know it’s easy to achieve 100% — it only took me about 6 hours, and that was without rushing.

Final Thoughts

For the price of 3,99€, I’d say it’s worth it. The amount of content and fun you can squeeze out of it feels balanced with the price tag, even if it leans toward being repetitive at times.

Overall, Piñata Go Boom is a simple, funny game that delivers what it promises without overcomplicating things.

It Takes Two - Review

It Takes Two by Hazelight Studios is one of the most enjoyable co-op experiences out there. I played through the game with my girlfriend, and it took us around 17 hours to complete. The game is incredibly fun, offering a wide variety of gameplay styles and experiences that keep it fresh throughout.

Gameplay and Features

It Takes Two has no shortage of things to do. Each level brings something new and exciting, whether it’s the mechanics or the story elements. The game’s co-op nature emphasizes teamwork, making it perfect for couples or friends looking for a shared adventure. The different gameplay experiences range from platforming to puzzle-solving, and even mini-games that keep the pace entertaining and diverse.

Couple Therapy

Besides the fun gameplay, the story touches on relationship issues, giving it a slight "couple therapy" vibe. It explores themes of communication and collaboration, making it not only an entertaining journey but also a thoughtful one, especially if you’re playing it with a partner.

Final Thoughts

Overall, It Takes Two is a must-buy if you enjoy co-op games. The sheer variety in gameplay and the emphasis on teamwork make it stand out. Whether you're playing with a partner or a friend, this game delivers a fantastic, fun-filled adventure that’s well worth your time.

Ghost of Tsushima - Review

Ghost of Tsushima has quickly become one of my favorite games. The graphics are absolutely beautiful, creating a stunning and immersive world. The gameplay is engaging, though it does become somewhat repetitive once you master the parry mechanic and can execute it perfectly every time. As you level up, you become nearly immortal, with an abundance of health that makes you almost invulnerable to hits.

Gameplay and Features

The variety of secrets, quests, and collectibles throughout the game is fantastic. Each armor set comes with unique bonuses that encourage different playstyles, which adds depth and replayability. The stealth mechanics are also compelling, providing a captivating experience for several hours.

Online Mode and Final Thoughts

However, the online "Legends" mode falls short. While initially interesting, it becomes repetitive after a few hours, especially once you have top-tier gear. The matchmaking can be frustratingly slow, and dealing with toxic players can detract from the enjoyment. This mode's necessity for achieving the platinum trophy is a bit disappointing.

Overall, I loved every bit of Ghost of Tsushima and plan to complete it 100%—a goal that should take around 100-120 hours for most players. Based on everything, I’d give it a 9/10. It’s a remarkable game with a few flaws but well worth the time investment.
