I love it. Currently one of the best co-op PvE games.

Avoid. Game seems fun but the support is horrible. Only buy if you want to play singleplayer.

I purchased the game to play online with a friend. Three weeks after we began playing (Sept 2020) the multiplayer server went down for three and a half weeks, with no communication from the publisher. I have to read in the Steam Forum from another player that support said the server is down for maintenance. When multiplayer finally was up again, my multiplayer account was gone. Apparently they used an old backup from 2017(!), which I have to read again on the steam forum from another player.

Now I cannot create a new multiplayer account again because I get the message "Invalid serialkey". Wrote to support and got the same unhelpful solution a second time after saying it did not help the first time.

Multiplayer for me - as of now - is dysfunctional and probably will stay that way. The game does not support old school directIP connectivity.

Abandoned. Still fun for a few hours, but be aware. This game had potential. In its current state it's very playable but rough around the edges.

It's a twin-stick shooter in which you fight hordes of aliens. There are three classes with different traits: Soldier, Engineer and Scout. You level up your character and customize the builds with passive perks and assigning the statpoints. It's fairly short, there are 12 levels, each about 5 minutes long if you beat it. After the first few levels multiple retries for a level are a given.

Don't buy. Cannot recommend the game in its current state.

The developer has once again gone radio silent since release. It is unknown if there will be further updates, if any, and the past is anything to go by, they might be years away.

I personally find the current system with region locked equipment and artefacts fine, but it needs heavy adjustment.

The progression system being equipment based can have you waste literally hours with no progress due to bad drops. This is what happened to me and made me stop playing. The drops need to be biased towards your class like e.g. Diablo III.

The Good:
This is an excellent game with a unique and touching story and the soundtrack is a masterpiece. The gameplay is nothing special but satisfying. Graphics are average to good.

The Bad:
Not much bad to say now. The game got after years a surprise patch in Jul 2021 which improved and fixed a lot of things. I'd still recommend to use SpecialK (former FAR [Fix Automata Resolution]) which improves performance further and allows to use texture mods among others.

Graphics aged badly. Needs a remaster. I played this A LOT back in the day.

* Fun shooter, for as long as it lasts.
* The ending is very abrupt and the story can be ignored.
* It looks like it's open world, but it isn't, the car sections are only long corridors to get you from point A to B.
* The graphics are mostly still good by 2018 standards, but the textures are sh*t up close.
* Nothing special in terms of gameplay or mechanics. Think a mix of elements from the games Borderlands, Fallout and Mad Max.
* There are minigames which are supposed to earn you some money, but I did not delve into them.
* Rather slow, cover based combat and shooting.
* Overall difficulty is slighlty above average.
* You get diffrent cars that you can upgrade. The races are very easy and can be beaten first try (with one exception).
* Verdict: Fun to complete once, buy only on sale.

This game grew on me. Underrated.

The controls seem clunky at first, but you get used to them.

There is a voice command feature, but I would not recommend it, it seems very unreliable to me, even after some tinkering. I played with it deactivated.

(+) Interesting and unique story, you don't see that often today.
(+) You can upgrade your weapons and passive skills
(+) Trust system for your team members
(+) Not very hardware demanding

(-) The on-screen-prompts are utter garbage. "M" for mouse button? Really?
(-) Some bad default keybindings (which can be changed)
(-) Cutscenes locked to 30 FPS

Overall very enjoyable and worth a recommendation. Best to buy on sale, I got it from a Humble Bundle.

Better than everyone says. Straight to the point: 7.5/10

Buy only on sale, though. Beforehand, look at some YouTube gameplay footage, to see if you like it.

It's not perfect and I have various issues, but I expected worse. Forget the Saint's Row Association and look at it as an own game.

The game combines multiple elements you see in other games, to name a few:
* Saint's Row (duh, drive around, steal cars)
* Warframe (combat)
* Diablo 3 (15 diffculties)
* Others elements include the stylized artsyle and the cartoon cinematics

My main issues are:
* No map keybinding (why?)
* No minimap (why?)
* Movement could be a bit faster
* Collectathon (there are literally hundreds of collectable shards and chests, and maybe 250 unlockables including skins, techs and gadgets; but in my 40hrs gameplay I casually unlocked everything)
* Gets repetitive
* Sub-par performance. Don't expect high framerates with an older or mid-range rig.

To mention a few positve aspects:
* Excellent voice acting
* Funny dialogues occasionally
* I like the cartoon cinematics

Apart from those issues, it's a fun game if you like this game type. Again, watch some gameplay on YouTube before buying.

Still an excellent game today, especially considering its age (release 2005).

The combat is satisfying, but not easy. You have very good control over your AI teammates, who have one of the best friendly AIs I have ever seen in a game. You can order them e.g. to take cover, heal themselves, hack a console or place traps.

This game is darker than the average Star Wars game, with a focus on teamwork and a military perspective.

The campaign is rather short with being about 9h long.

The graphics still hold up but are obviously dated today.
