This game has nothing similar with old school shooters. I've read reviews before trying this game and I agree with all 3 reviews posted before this one -- its actually that bad.

I can't take this anymore. Slow and uncomfortable fighting mechanism, and frigid Innocence(I hate this guy so much, I wish there were possibility to murder him) ruined my experience.

I'll probably take some time to murder someone in other game I am comfortable with, and lower my anger about this game, then try again with it. I wanted to play it because before release it looked promising and I watched video and read a lot about it. After trying the game first time I was disappointed and decided to wait for some patches or something.

If you want to play this game, be prepared for
* People on streets stearing at one place for hours, freezed in one pose without any movement.
* Small boulders on the ground normal people can walk through, but in this game you cannot.
* Any furniture or crates are bound to eachother and to ground/walls with some god powers, you will never be able to move them.
* Walking NPC(Any NPC, actually) will never notice you and will always try to walk through. Also you will not be able to interrupt their stearing contest.
* Your hero is not able to go on any stairs with very rare exceptions(quest or crossroads). So you cannot use crates or stairs in fight.

To sum up, this game is dead and feels scipted, not alive it pretends to be. Killing someone you will never feel you killed a bad guy or saved good guy, it will be another scripted thing you indifferent to.

I've completed this game 3 times in a row(and Dark Souls PTDE before :)). It made me to forget about Doto for couple months taking every second of my free time. This game teaches you that death is just an oppotunity to try again, to get up every time you fall and learn from your mistakes becoming one with your weapon, to try again after each death, to roll and backstab. Every game gives you chance to try again after fail, but this game will punish and kill you and you will enjoy making each step.

This is a masterpiece, indeed. For people who love unique strategies like Dungeon Keeper, Black & White, this one is a musthave. It was very unique experience, I've replayed it couple times and enjoyed every mission. Graphics may look outdated, but idea behind and its implementation is awesome.

TimeShift is awesome game! I've played through it 2 times and never got bored. Nice story and cool time management stuff really helpful during tough fights.

Fantastic game, I will try it again some day. It's like watching a good movie -- perfect storyline and good FX, what else you may want? :) No bugs, no glitches, good optimisation for such visuals quality.

I never tried Gears of War and didn't touched its multiplayer unlike other "reviewers". This game has strong and interesting storyline that keept me to the end. Cannot say its gravity manipulation was revolutionary, but it was pretty interesting and sometimes I've really enjoyed this nice addition to normal combat. I definitely recommend to get this game and try its story mode.

Very nice puzzler, I loved it! It was not boring or too much repetitive, I've enjoyed helping Shuggy with levels and bosses. And Shuggy looks so cute :)
