First off I want to say I am only giving this a Not Recommended because there is no "Meh" option.

I really wouldn't even call this a game, it is more of a short interactive story. So but you were to buy it, only buy it if it was on sale... I have a rule that I should at least get 1 hour of entertainment for a game for every dollar I spend on it. And considering you can experience the entire game in less that 5 hours with absolutely no replay factor (the game is on rails, and you pretty much only have the illusion of free choice, all except for the very end.)

The story was interesting to say the least. However, there was nothing too shocking or surprising. The moment I saw two things in the beginning of the game, I pretty much had the whole plot figured out, and continuing the story just further confirmed my initial determination. So all in all very anticlimactic for me at least.

Finally, there are a lot of reviews stating that the game glorifies pedophilia. That is not the case. The game hits a couple of, sensitive subjects, and the relationship between the Main Character's father and Rachel is one of them. That being said, the games team makes certain factors of this game clear.

1. Rachel was 16.
2. Rachel had no disabilities that would affect her cognitive function.
3. This story takes place in the State of Montana.

Albeit extremely creepy, the only thing the Main Character's father would be guilty of is Adultery.

Everything being said, if you want to experience an interesting story when you have nothing else to do on a lazy day, then go ahead and check this game out. But don't pay more than $5 for it, it wouldn't be worth it.

"An Entertaining Platformer"

I normally don’t like it when developers release the game at such a discounted rate, however I think Crimson Duck Studios did the right thing in this case.

Utilizing Unity 5, Torch Cave offers a fun and challenging platformer as we help a torch carrying rectangle named Mr. Bravado jump and swing from platform to platform while in the beginning avoiding obstacles to eventually enemies.

The entertainment value of the game would be more than perfect at a cost of $3.99 as when I first played the game an hour had passed in what felt like a span of 15 minute. However, the game is not yet perfect as there are a few annoying bugs that need to be fixed (which is why I think Crimson Duck did the right thing by offering 40% off in the beginning). The most annoying bug so far is falling platforms falling before you even have a chance to land/touch them. So much so that I had to stop playing the game. The second most annoying bug is the grappling hook wigging out, and breaking when you are attempting to swing. At the writing of this review, I have completed the first 16 levels and even with all of the bugs I have to say it has been worth it.

If you are looking for a couple of hours of fun, then this game is worth it. If you want a game that is fully polished, then this game is not for you at the moment, give the developers a little time to patch it up and it will definitely be worth the $3.99.

As of right now, I give the game a solid 7.5 out of 10. When the developers fix the bugs I would definitely give it an 8.5-9/10 in my books.

Okay... So I don't really like playing MMO's or Multiplayer in general. I personally like to enjoy a game by myself. However, with this game I will make the exception. I just downloaded it today and I have to say that after a few hours and the wife demanding that I come to bed to "snuggle," I think I would rather play this game a little bit longer.

The game play is smooth, and the graphics are pretty good for a FTP. I am currenlty using my Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 and I have to say that I am enjoying having to fight the controls during a tough dog fight, but it makes it worth it. It's free, so go ahead and download it, there will be no regrets... except for the wife :)
