However, whether or not that's a good or bad thing is up to you.

If you loved the PVP and tech in DS1, you'll love it here. Likewise, if you despised it, hated how "wrong" it felt then, you probably won't enjoy it here. Same goes for the main story and PVE elements.

Hackers, old engine mechanics, and the "it's not a remake" mantra should not be the driving force for your decision to get this game. If you've always enjoyed the Dark souls franchise, or want to get into it for the first time, then absolutely you will enjoy this game and what it offers you. If you had a negative opinion of the game or the series from the getgo, you likely will not get what you paid for.
