After 2000h of Squad, I thought it might be usefull to post a review of it. And the timing for it seems pretty good since the ICO just dropped.

Maybe some positive parts first:

• it had the right mix between arcade and realism
  
• pretty constant new content (2-3 times a year)
  
• only lightweight micro transaction, that just came in recently

Of course there are more positive things too, but I want to keep it simple, that's why we jump right into the negative points:

• after the ICO, arcade and realistic parts of the game play have vanished, guns kick far to extreme, suppression of rifle caliber feels like you are standing next to an artillery strike, and vehicles got far to OP
  
• long list of bugs in the game, that feels like it gets longer every update
  
• game breaking bugs regularly find their why through QC
  
• performance is rather bad, you need quite a beefy rig to play with good fps, considering the game is not the newest

These are again, not all negative points, but some of them.

Before the ICO, I still would have recommended the game if people asked me about it, despide the problems the game had and has. Afterwards I sadly can no longer do that. I had my 2000 hours of fun with it, and so far it looks like it will stay like that.

Nice for fans of the original game that also like TD games

Worth every hour played, really addictive in a very positive way. Also very good modding support and modding community.
Total recommendation. 10/10

This game is a very good example of how to make things right. The Devs try to listen to the community and they are not afraid to change things.
Definitely a must have for fans of the automation genre.

And even after you finished the main game, you can either put hundreds of hours in improving your playstyle in vanilla, or you try out some mods (great modding community) which scale the difficulty up immensely.

Scary, dark, fascinating, frightening, adrenaline rush,... just some words that describe this awsome game. Total recommandation for all survival-fans out there.
