Flight model is good, if not just Rogue Squadron with slightly more hand holding. It's certainly not on par with X-Wing/TIE Fighter or any of the Lawrence Holland or even the Wing Commander series, but still solid.

That said, the story mode is awful, the voices, characters and writing are terrible. The mission design is good, though

After a year of playing on this off and on I have to say it is the best casual sim I've played since Jane's Fighter's Anthology . Everything is balanced, the controls are simple to use but sufficently complex in motion to feel like a simulator. If you're looking for something between Project: Wingman and DCS, this is it.

My 7 year old son loves horror games. I don't let him play them normally, but he finds them on Youtube and then begs me to get them for him or he plays them at a friend's house or with his older cousins. I decided to get this one after watching him watch a video of it. I then sat him down, headphones on for each of us and we've been taking turns on it for 2 hours and it has been a lot of fun. It isn't that scary, it has intuitive controls, has the endearing amount of jank that every game under $30 new should have and the overall feel is really crisp for what it is.

My son loves it too and he is so enthusiastic that we finish it before Christmas.

9/11 I will never forget the fun we're having

An AMAZING old school SVGA style flight sim. You will have flashbacks to Flying Nightmares, Jet Fighter 2 and Sierra's old WW2 sims. It won't be for everyone, but it is a great love letter to a long gone era that controls better than anything from that era,

By and large the best Ace Combat game on the PC, and the best period since the Playstation 2 era. Graphics are good, controls are crisp and responsive, the soundtrack is surprisingly great and the game itself is just a ton of fun. A few guys in their spare rooms put together the best arcade flight shooter of the last 2 decades and its hard to find anyone that appreciates how badass that truly is.

One of the few modern pixel games that doesn't feel like a rehash of bad ideas from the Nintendo era or a college dropout's resume to a mobile games company. The soundtrack is amazing as well

I've had TrackIR and an Oculus, both took almost an hour and a half to set up the first time and were a bit buggy. This set up in 4 minutes and works exactly like it should with only a 4 year old, $30 webcam.

After a few hours in DCS and getting the curves and deadzones right, I'm still incredibly impressed with how well it works. The only thing it does that annoys me is how taking a drink of coffee can throw the calibration, but a quick macro to re-center always fixes it
