Dear Esther is a very beautiful game. It is soothing, yet there are some disturbing elements. You could see Dear Esther as a story that is told by a narrator, but while the story is being told, you can explore the place on your own pace. It sort of feels like a movie, but in this game you are in the movie, walking around and experiencing what is being told, living the story. The graphics really bring the scenery to live, they are very realistic. The music is very pretty as-well, it changes along with the scenery and helps transferring the mood that accompanies the story.
