If you need a comparison, the game is very Nier-like from the story to the gameplay and even the equipment you can use on Eve. It has minor "souls" mechanics, resting will replenish your set healing item and will cause enemies to respawn.

Overall I think if you fully enjoyed the Nier games then you'll love this, but if you're a strictly souls only type of person then 50/50

I def rate it a 10/10

I feel like if you have ever played and enjoyed Plants vs Zombies then you'd most likely enjoy this game too. More or less it's the same concept. You plant and grow your weapons, but instead of being stationary you move your little frog around and dodge incoming bugs/bosses while your weapons auto attack around you.

!!!!YOU CAN PET AND HIGH-FIVE THE MOUSE!!!!

...any way..
You play as a brave and very adventurous mouse named Quill who stumbles across a magical item. This item leads her on a journey to prove her worth as the next successor while also needing to rescue her uncle. The game is full of puzzles and mazes that you must help her complete in order for her to move forward. Even the combat can be a bit of a strategy puzzle in order to not get overwhelmed by the amount of bugs attacking you. Some you will need to use for activating specific mechanisms as well.

The story is much more than it appears to be; who are you and what is she-
At the very start the game will have you questioning if your choices truly matter since everything seems to lead to the same outcome. Though it quickly switches up to "who will you believe and is this the right choice".

10/10 narration the way the story is told to you makes it fun and dare I say a little funny at times.
Seems to be a very short story, but definitely worth the money as it can be replayed for multiple outcomes.

Did I buy the game just because Rami Malek was in it? Yes. Did I also get hella excited seeing Peter Stormare show up on screen? Also, yes.

Any ways you're basically playing an interactive horror movie where the choices you make 100% matter. It starts out slow af with the typical cheesy teen drama of you can't have a crush on my guy he's mine, and here's your punishment. After a few mins of that taking place, the story picks up on being A LOT more interesting. Really love the Native lore in the story too. Overall I give it a 10/10. Soundtrack is pretty good too.

*Beware the scares are strictly jump scares and they happen pretty frequently.*

~SPOILER TIP~
If you want to keep Wolfie alive, befriend him. Don't kick, slowly approach, then find a bone and give it to him. During a chase scene it will show "barricade door or run". You need to choose barricade otherwise Wolfie will be killed.

I know I haven't spent much time in this game yet. but it's stunning to say the least. The voice acting with the different accents is done so well and fits each character and the graphics are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. The music in the opening of the 2nd act is a fun and refreshing sound too imo for these types of games.

A little bit of a warning tho, if you're expecting any type of causal like play from this game then this isn't the game for you. This game is more a farm for a few mins (unless you rinse and repeat the areas with resting) before you come across another boss or mini/ secret boss. Each boss will most likely require you to die at least once before you figure out it's combos and what skills you may need to switch and set. This game is also more of a perfect dodge rather than a perfect parry type of play too. You can die fast if you get caught in a bosses combo. Tho regardless of the challenges I can't recommend this game enough, you should def consider buying.

Absolutely adore this game, I haven't been this addicted to a game since I was a child. Feel like I'm falling in love with gaming all over again. The voice acting is just beautiful, with all the different ways you can approach obstacles. I fear I'll never get tired of this game

*Edit-
Got me crying over these characters as if we truly journeyed together man, I love them all so much!

Bought this just to see how bad it really is on steam compared to the PSP and it's exactly what I played all those years ago. This is a remaster not a remake, so really only a little bit of the graphics have been made better. There is a bit of a sound issue in tartarus; when preforming an "all out attack" it does get quite a bit loud during the attack sequence, so if you use headphones beware. As for the character dialog in tartarus, Mitsuru is basically talking through a walkie talkie so it's gonna sound a bit distorted and the other characters do have a lower almost echo like quality to their audio. This current issue ONLY happens in tartarus, the rest of the games audio is perfectly fine. So if you have already experienced P3P on the PSP I wouldn't recommend buying it again if you didn't like the quality of it at the time because the quality is more or less the same as when it first came out. Though if you're a huge fan of the other persona games and have never played this one, I definitely recommend it

God I'm loving this game so much. The artwork is fantastic and I really love how the character moves to attack and once you get the right flow going, it becomes so much fun annihilating the bosses
