The meta for this game has been destroyed; no XP in campaign means several instances where people idle with auto-clickers in Grifball (for example) to get XP to unlock armor. It's sad, really. That being said, this game runs on a potato, and the more competitive modes (and firefight) run FLAWLESSLY.

The entire game is actually pretty easy and fun to play; runs great and I have no complaints EXCEPT for the final level and autoscroller:

The entire 2 hours it took me to get to that level were flawless. no issues. not too hard. But those 2 bosses (vertical autoscroller is a boss in itself :?) have terrible collision, and if you miss a single jump you die. I cant skip to the death animation, I sit there for 30 seconds and wait. I'm very confused because the entire previous 2 hours was nothing like that. Anyway, not that it matters because of the expired license, but it's actually a good game!

ZetaBlaze and Glundyn's reviews are all you need to read.
-Outter Space can't be done in 65 seconds unless you're cheating. Which means you get one snatcher coin per mission, you know? The bonus objectives, like this one, are impossible.
-UFOs drop in a single frame; nearly impossible to avoid or bait out of the way

-You are REQUIRED to do the snatcher missions to play the new chapter beyond act one.
-Terrible game mechanic^
-Dev console has been confirmed to be a fake; you can't use it in those missions

-Act 2 of the Arctic Cruise, as I assumed and was later proven right by the comments, is also insane. At any given time, there are UP TO EIGHT different checkpoints on my screen. Complete 20 errands in a limited time? Hmm; I'll pass.

I'm still gonna stick with my 40 time pieces=100% until deathwish is nerfed off the face of the planet.

I'm gonna give this a solid 4/5. Worth the $5, especially given the new characters and their abilities.

After playing for 7 hours, I can, for the record, give an honest opinion about this game.

Long story short: The visuals, animations and music are great; just as a remaster should be.

The game mechanics? Terrible:
-Complete lack of depth perception: The front-to-back camera angle in Crash is how it was in the original. But it seems that the devs took no care in improving it whatsoever. Jumps are almost impossible to judge given this angle. I have the game maxed out at 1280x1024 and STILL cannot judge distances based on shadows, etc.

Collision detection/hitbox registration
-Boss fights especially... Take Koala Kong (Crash 1) for example. Overall, a great boss idea that isn't too easy and isn't too difficult... Until you get to the hitboxes. The hotboxes on the boulders are MASSIVE, causing me to lose a life when I'm nowhere near the projectiles. Explosion radius on TNT is another great example: it could kill you from a whole block away (easier to judge in a bonus stage).
The Midnight Run level in Crash 3 is also a good place to see this. After the 2nd or 3rd checkpoint, there's a sharp dip in the track followed by a sharp incline. Directly at the top of this incline is a pit that is impossible to see. Knowing it's there, you jump early and veer. But the man balancing the baskets has a massive hitbox, making this impossible.

With that in mind, I'm happy that its optimized well. But the level geometry in the back end needs SERIOUS reworking.

Brutal and straight to the point. Despite the purposeful lack of a story (as described by some), it's enough to get you emersed in the reboot's universe and want to explore every nook and cranny to expand upon that. The variety of upgrades and runes make the gameplay flexible, and the addition of numerous references to the past games in the franchise complete the fan service.

For someone who has never played Resident Evil before, I wasn't 100% sure what to expect. Now that I'm partway through the third chapter, I can confidently say that I love this game.

Being dropped in the middle of what I presume to be Spain... At night... When it's "zombie weather" outside... With nothing more than a picture and a purpose. You soon learn there's a lot more to the village than meets the eye...

The first levels are a tad bit linear, but the storyline and mix between survival, exploration and action more than makeup for it. More than once have I been caught by a villager from behind when I never knew there was a path there in the first place. Definitely adds to the horror aspect.

The boss fights are unique and quite challenging at times (especially when you're boxed in the barn with Mendez). If you misclick, you suffer, and hard. Some bosses can kill you in one attack set, in fact.

The weapon management system is really nice when you have lots of items that you need to pack in before the next upgrade. Rotating your guns also saves a ton of space, and you'll need it.

You also don't get a lot of ammo. Ammo during the first castle fight gave me a tough time; took almost everything I had just to get downstairs and flip the switch, let alone get to the water challenge with Ashley.

Overall I'd say it's definitely worth the buy. Runs great on lower end systems, and it's an enjoyable tactical survival experience. Be sure you have FAST fingers.

Cons:
-Quicktime prompts appear for a fraction of a second, making them impossible to react to on the first go. It also CHANGES from M1 and M2 to X and C, so I just mash both of them at the same time.
-The tap X quicktime events are bugged; you have to smash the X key so fast or else you fail instantly and have to redo the ENTIRE (starting with) minecart segment. I have to somehow press it at LEAST 7 times per SECOND. Not even talking about the Salazar statue run...

System:
Pentium G4600
8GB DDR4
GTX 1050
