Yup, this is THAT game you saw in one of those Walmart "$5 clearance" bins. This was a great game back in the day, it's just your usual dungeon crawler game, with procedurally generated floors and randomized quests. If you played this as a kid I recommend trying it again for nostalgia, if you didn't, I'd say take a pass. It becomes very repetitive and boring very quickly.

Somewhat difficult learning curve, but once you figure out how the 1997 control scheme works, it's pretty fun. It has a very direct main quest, you go to point A to point B and do the thing. I didn't play Fallout 1 as a kid, and this still gave me nostalgia. Music is pretty good, overall interesting game to say the least. Highly recommend watching a youtube video to figure out how the controls work.

Took me 20 hours to beat the game casually.

Honestly this game is the GOAT. Essentially this is just an alternate reality Dark Souls. The difficulty is much less than the Souls series, while this is definitely still hard, it's not a 8.5 minute run back into dying in one hit like the other games. You have followers and other spells that make the game much easier, along with MANY more bonfires to reduce run-back time.

One of the most graphically beautiful games in 2022. The story is confusing, but interesting nonetheless. A must-play game.

If I had to go back and play these again I'd HIGHLY recommend picking up DOOM 3: BFG Edition. It contains DOOM 1 and DOOM 2 all in one-package, and it has achievements.

Pretty much just a remake of DOOM (1993) this looks identical and plays the same as it, truly a continuation of the first game. Which is not a bad thing, they have the exact same graphics, controls, gameplay. This game was much harder than the first.

I never played DOOM as a kid, so when the franchise went on sale I picked this up. Honestly can say it was a blast. Very difficult to get used to the controls, i HIGHLY recommend using an xbox controller over mouse/keyboard. There's no vertical movement so it's just moving your joystick left and right to look around. Honestly much harder than I expected, i thought it'd be a run-and-game game and its' not. Many times I had to save and load my file just to continue facing a tough enemy. The game holds up in 2022.

Voting down because it isn't worth it in 2022. Basically a Terraria clone with worse controls and inventory system.

On the positive side of things, back when this game was popular it did seem fun. I wish there was a "mixed" vote instead of just up or down. If you have nothing else to do and love terraria, i'd recommend picking this up. If not, i'd pass. Seems dated unfortunately.

It's one of the classic click-based games. I'd recommend trying it if you've never played. It WILL suck most of your time, while it being an "idle" game you can get a leg up by actively playing. You'll start to notice it taking up all your gaming time.

The game works on a prestige system, you quickly completing the game to restart with more bonus points, and it keeps going from there.

Early Access Review
This game was surprisingly good. Very simple game at heart, you pick a character and you get put into a square arena to survive for 30-60 seconds. 20 waves. Good game for the Steam Deck to be able to play a few waves and shut it off and resume at a later time.

Took me 35 hours to 100% this game, lots of different ways to tackle getting a win on every character. I hope to see more content in the future, though i'd say there's enough content to be worth it.

Accidentally got all the achievements for this game. A pretty fun game for couch gaming with friends. Solid game for the holidays. Not that much to the game, it's an arena-styled fighter where you run around throwing objects at each other. Graphics are good and the music is excellent.

An absolute must-play for any gamer. One of the best stories of any game I've ever played. The remaster holds up pretty well, original was made in 2007 so you shouldn't expect glorified 4k ultra graphics. Combat is a bit linear and gets stale but the characters and the plot is what makes this game go from great to incredible. Honestly much scarier at least in the beginning than I thought. Stick with it, it'll get a little less creepy as you progress.
