God this game is one hell of a ride. The gameplay is ok for 2012, but it's strongest point is definitively it's social links/story.

I am usually one of the guys that hates "must protect" characters (Nanako). But this game made me care for her anyways. Same for everyone else, i don't think there is a single character i can say i hate after playing.
The game might be 80-hours-ish. But it sure as hell knows what to do with every single minute. From the amazing music to crying over the sadness and well being of fictional characters. If you have 80 hours, it's completely worth it.

Again, it's weak point may be it's actual gameplay/fighting. It has a nice twist with extra attacks if you find the enemy's weakness. but it rarely gets any more complex than that. Persona fusion system works fine, and i don't ask anything else out of it.

As for the plot. in my opinion, it felt pretty smooth. from beginning to end. This journey to find the truth has been amazing. The game knows how to balance tension and funny bits. A new game plus is recommended for a perfect second run to see most of the content, as i doubt many would get the true ending in their first run without outside hints.

Note: 80 hours is the total avarage time after doing one clean and one NG+ run. My first blind run was 55 hours-ish, and my NG+ with only not skipping unseen content was much faster, at 25/30 hours.
Also, NG+ Feels right, you keep your conpendulum, stats, money, and unlocked equipment. So you have even more time to max out links.

Overall. Although the journey may be long, i believe it to be rewarding. Like i said before, if you have the time. play it. It certainly is an experience i can't fully describe with words, and one you have to see for yourself

Now, what you all want to see:
Best Boy: Naoto
Best Bro: kanji
Best Girl: Chie no question

After almost 3000 hours, I have so much to say about this game, so let's get to it.

Warframe, what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bizarre adventure it is.

While the game lacks in the part of explaining itself to new players, and i'd recommend having a veteran friend with you when you start. I really think it's worth it.

Yes, it's an MMO Loot and Shooter, you WILL grind a specific weapon for hours and hours on end. And the balancing and content has been wonky in the last few updates. But i believe this game still is incredible.

It's Free To Play, you can obtain anything that isn't cosmetics without putting a single buck in.
Sure, i'll be far longer to grind for it than to pay for it. But that's what the game is about!

Movement and action are really fun. Specially fun with 3 other friends. Running around, failing objectives and blaming each other playfully, debating for 5 hours why your favorite warframe is better than your friend's.

One thing this game has which i will always love, it's it's economy with platinum, the premium currency! Wait! Don't go!! Hear me out....
Platinum, while only really obtainable by paying actual money, CAN be traded! Even if you never bought any! A fully F2P player can obtain platinum for cosmetics, weapon/warframe slots, etc, by simply grinding hard to obtain gear, and selling it for platinum to P2P players!
The only things that are fully Pay 2 Get are Prime Access Accessories, cosmetics that are designed to fit with the prime warframe released with them. But trust me, this game has ♥♥♥♥ ton of platinum/f2p alternatives for fashion, and these prime accessories are 100% cosmetics and bring no real advantage.

If you have the time and energy to spend 2 or 3 hours per session. And plan on playing for more than 20 hours total. This game is for you.
This game is made to chip-away at. Yes, you can skip past a lot of things, specially with veteran friends on board, but trust me, take your time, do the things. Don't rush through the game to get to "the cool part", as rushing makes the cool part that much less interesting

The story is genuinely interesting, it's no masterpiece that'll surpass Shakespeare, but it doesn't need to be, it's mostly cohesive, it's interesting, and it has an entire world of lore and plot lines to follow, almost each planet has some sort of lore to it's current state. The curious mind has lots to learn here!

The mod system, as complicated as it is, brings insane levels of customization to your weapons and warframe! Trust me, once you have resources and can go beyond the basic builds, the possibilities of weird interactions, cool gimmicks and such is endless. Pair this with the insane amounts of customization for your warframe's visuals and you are bound to develop really unique fashion!

NEGATIVES:

Even as an undying supporter of this game, i'm not blind to real flaws, some of the expected grind requirements are horrible, specially, a feature called Necramech, requires good knowledge/experience with open worlds, crafting, standing, syndicates, and bounties. But the Necramech is presented as a simple fun new thing! That is ALSO required to progress through the main story.

Overall. A problem most of the community agrees upon, is that the game presents far too many little things to do very early into the game. "Oh, did you just get 3 hours of playtime? Would you like to know about 6 different game modes you could be playing right now that each could take hundreds of hours to fully max out?". It's overwhelming, specially when you don't know anything. My advice, just say "OK, I saw this cool feature on Reddit, I wanna do this!" and start googling, figuring out how to get that specific thing, you'll get to the other stuff later, there is no time limits on pretty much ANY content that isn't cosmetics, and even those end up coming back a few months later. Take your time, you'll get everything in the long run.

As I've said before, this game is REALLY bad at explaining new things to the newest players, it is recommended to have a veteran or at least experienced friend. Explaining Syndicates, Open Worlds, Modding System and other features is gonna be a nightmare otherwise.

Archons. The latest endgame fight the game offers, are, to say the least, very, very flawed. They are bullet sponges that require very specific knowledge and heavy builds to kill effectively. IF you don't, you will have a hard time killing them, as their damage reduction calculations are wonky. Which is a shame because the reward for slaying them is a very interesting game mechanic to make your favorite warframe stronger!

Balance. While the game has been on an uphill in trying to make every weapon/warframe viable, it's impossible to say that there aren't weapons that are simply better than others. Yes, your D Tier warframe CAN beat the high difficulty events, but there's always a meta, and as of writing this, Melee weapons are stronger than most primary or secondary weapons.

Note: No, you don't need to rush anything, do anything you want at the pace you want. Just don't expect to obtain most content within 40/60 hours. This game is for the long run.

TL;DR: The game is ok.
